My favorite Season is 1, 2, 3 because Cordelia in it and Cander relationship and romance.

What is your favorite buffy Seasons?
 
S6. We have seen the characters for several years by this point and we know them really well. A lot of character flaws are explored/exposed and it leads to some great character development which follows on so incredibly well from everything that has come before. I loved that they took them to darker places and that they really struggled and pulled apart in the season. So much of it felt like snippets of what you can go through when becoming more independent and stepping into adulthood more. It just made them more relatable and really delved into complex character layering, I love it.

S5 and S2 would probably be my next favourites for the character depth those seasons gave us and really solid season wide stories. But I didn't multi vote for them too just because I really do love the whole series and although I can place seasons in an order of preference, I don't dislike any of them and think they all have great things within them.

I can't pick a favorite, I would say 4,5,6. Here is why I love them so much:

Season 4- I love Spike the most when he doesn't have a soul, but he has the chip. He is still sarcastic and mean...but he helps the Scoobies. I love the interactions with him and the Scoobies here. You can see that even though he doesn't have a soul...he is still helpful. And he brings the best comedy in the whole show. This season also brings us Hush, Something Blue, A new man, Superstar...some of the hilarious (one scary) episodes that I can watch over and over again.


Season 5- Spike discovers that he loves Buffy. Because of this love he is a great asset to the Scoobies and protects Dawn. Glory is a great big bad. It also has one of the best season finales of the whole series.

Season 6-Spuffy! I also love SMG's performance, she plays someone extremely depressed so well. This is probably her best season to show off her acting skills. I loved the Trio as the bad guys..as they brought some really neat episodes.
 
Probably 2,3&4. Season 3 is basically perfect. I love the scoobies in season 2 and I like the lighter tone of season 4,plus it has some great episodes.
 
Season two because of Spike and Dru together in present day and Angelus was the show's most effective villain. Season three is a close second with the Faith storyline and lots of good classic episodes. Season five is my third favorite because of Glory and it had an effective arc with interesting themes and had a great ending with Buffy's sacrifice. I liked the scoobies interaction with each other the most in these seasons and just enjoyed the feel of these seasons the most.
 
For a litany of reasons, season 5. Among the top reasons, I enjoy watching the dramatic development Buffy undergoes, maturing out of her parochial and comparatively selfish early perspectives on life to a broad and well earned deep humanity, the crowning achievement being her selfless self-sacrifice and what that implied about what she had grown into, which Buffy could rightly be proud about.

Also, the psychology and character dynamics and interractions in Season 5 are for me much more rich and diverse than other seasons. Many times it feels as if the motw's are really the tensions and conflicts both inside and outside of the main characters, and I enjoy that type of thing. This season is all about legitimate issues closely related to the human condition, and I think S5 not only explores more of it than the other seasons, but these things are really rather central to S5 and I feel the writers of BtVS and Joss gave us real answers about these tough topics...and what they have to say about these issues is worth reflecting on.
 
Number 6 in the house! 😀 It's dark, repulsive, imperfect, risky, and thought provoking as hell. Plus, it came to me during an intense transitional period in my life, and seeing these characters make these irreversible and horrible mistakes made me feel a little better about my own life. Now objectively speaking, after many, many years of being in the fandom (2001), I realize season 6 isn't the greatest season as far as the consistency of quality episodes, but honestly it was its little tiny moments that said more about human fragility than I've ever seen before at that time that make it my favorite. This was my introduction to the Buffyverse, I can't help but love it. 🙂
 
4, 5, 6 & 7 before 1, 2 & 3. Mainly because by 4 the characters had become so evolved beyond just high school students having adventures to members of my family dealing with real life. I voted 6 , 7 and 5 tie for 2nd place and 4 sitting closely behind them.
