What is your Nationality?

German, with some Polish and Dutch ancestors a few generations back (the Dutch ancestry still plainly visible in our family name 🙂).

I'm just an American girl, born and raised in Arkansas, minus the Clinton-esque accent. Both of my parents are from Missouri. As far as ancestry goes, I am a descendent of Quakers and have German and Irish blood, and enough Cherokee to join the nation. My great-grandmother was full-blood Cherokee, I believe.

Cherokee, that is so cool!
Second generation Canadian baby! So that makes me a Labatt Blue-blood! I have all my teeth so that means I was a goalie but I still have hockey scars that I proudly show off, no hockey mullet though...that went out in the 70's! lol
And I'm married to a 2nd generation French Canadian hottey! Her lips are sweeter then maple syrup and she makes a mean poutine!
We tried to tame a beaver for a pet but we just couldn't break Bucky from gnawing on the chair and table legs so we let em' go and he built a 3 storey beaver den just down river. lol

Spaz much? ha ha Just kidding! You are awesome! ;)
I'm so Swedish it's boring., generations and generations and what not. From the archipelago (can't take a step on the island my fam's from without being recognized. I look exactly like my mother :S much to my chagrin)

Not so sure about that viking heritage though 😉 More liquor-smugglers and missionaries... lovely blend ey?

ILLYRIAN agrees
: How to tell if you have any Swedish blood. Want to play tennis? (Does the name Hingis mean anything to you) Do you drive a Volvo?? Like the snow a bit to much, and for fun do you dress up as a chef and try to put chickens in a pot?

LMAO, wtf?

Cool! I'm like half swedish and don't know squat. :(
err... I'm white?

LOL. I honestly don't have a clue. I'm American, my mom was born here in Georgia too. I have no Earthly idea about my biological dad. My mom talks about how we have Cherokee Indian in us... she told me a few days ago we had some Irish in us too (I NEVER tan; just sunburn!).

I guess I'm just a mix of everything or something 😛

I am Irish/Dutch American.

Also you Swedes should stop calling yourself boring! I went on a trip to Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen last year. You folks are anything but boring. Very beautiful as a whole, not to mention a LOT more friendly then Germans.

who ya callin' unfriendly, you *expletive deleted*! (jk, of course ;) )
My Mom's side is 100% Russian. My Dad's side is mostly German. The thing is, some of his family is from what used to be Prussia but is now Poland. So back then it counted as German, these days it wouldn't be. The rest of my German family is also from the East of the country. So I guess I'm German with a pretty heavy Slavic touch.
I did grow up in Germany and German is my native language. However, for some years there was a dispute going on about if I had dual citizenship with Russia or not. Since it's technically not possible, now I only have the German one, but I'm pretty sure when I was a minor, I officially was registered as Russian as well.

And I don't live in Germany anymore. When I was 18, I moved away to go to university in the Netherlands, where I currently am. I know my profile says Belgium and I do technically live here, but it's because rent is cheaper here and I only live 500 meters from the Dutch border. Come July 3rd, I will move into the real Netherlands 🙂
When I'm done studying, I'm not sure where I'll go, but I don't really have a strong urge to go back to Germany.

Swedish, swedish, swedish. All over the place. Not sure how many stereotypes about sweden I fit into though. I don't mind being swedish at all. Sure I'd like to have a relative from some "cool" country or what not. But I'm managing just fine.

I'm so Swedish it's boring., generations and generations and what not.
It might be boring to you but I'm guessing that people outside Scandinavia find it anything but boring.

Which is why it made me glad to see this. 😉

Also you Swedes should stop calling yourself boring! I went on a trip to Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen last year. You folks are anything but boring. Very beautiful as a whole, not to mention a LOT more friendly then Germans.

Another one!
I've always wanted to be Swedish... It sounds pretty. 🙂 And wow, we have a LOT of Germans here! 😀 Despite all of my other ethnicities, I'm pretty much just an American girl. My ancestors (from England, anyway) came over to America on The Mayflower. I have been here for QUITE a while. (sw)

Sounds like I should be glad that I'm Swedish then. 🙂
Which I kinda am anyway.

Don't know much about my family history but I'm guessing it's very much Swedish very far back. Would be interesting to really know. Perhaps time to do some research.
