Here's the actual test:

After you take it, see what other well-known people have your personality type by clicking on yours, on the left hand side.

I'm INFP, what I found so interesting and cool is that I like the work of the majority of the people who are also INFPs. I love Kurt Cobain, Ian Curtis, Bjork, Tori Amos, J.D. Salinger and now I understand why I can relate to their music/writing, it's because we kind of think the same way and that's pretty damn awesome. I'm curious to know what personality types you guys are, and I have a feeling that I won't be too surprised by the results, but we'll see!

Oh, and what personality type do you think your favorite character (or just any random one) on Buffy, Angel, Firefly, or Dollhouse is? I haven't seen Firefly yet so I won't be able to agree or disagree with you on that haha.

Abe Lincoln, Einstein, and Darwin, awesome 😀 and Tina Fey 😉 haha, can't say I'm surprised, your posts on here are always so well thought out.

*blush* Thank you. I try.

And it turns out that you're a cool bohemian. Who'd a thunk it? Me, for starters 🙂

I got ENFP aka 'The Inspirer'. There doesn't seem to be any other 'E's on the board so far. I'm definitely Extroverted mostly though so it makes sense. Some of the famous ENFP's include Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde, Julian Assange, Anne Frank, Walt Disney, Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Ellen DeGeneres, Jack White and Sarah Michelle Geller (!).

ENFP Summary: enthusiastic, initiating, anticipates the needs of others.

So far these tests seem to be failry accurate (or spot on in some cases). Come one, come all, bare your soul to your fellow BBers 😀

Haha you're welcome, and thanks! Yeah it's cool that a lot of INFPs are writers, artists, and musicians, my kind of people.

I knew for a fact that you would be an extrovert haha. I was thinking about that, how most of us on here are probably introverts and then I thought, "except cait", and yeah you're basically me if I was an extrovert! Tons of cool people on that list.

Definitely. Although my mom just took it...she's an ESFJ and she was horrified to see Sarah Palin on the list ahaha...but my sister's was spot on. She's a total ENFJ.

Am I really that obvious?! 😛

I had a read through and found some interesting quotes about my personality type. Very accurate if I do say so myself.
Some ENFPs have a great deal of zany charm, which can ingratiate them to more stodgy types in spite of their unconventionality.

ENFPs often have strong, if sometimes surprising, values and viewpoints. They tend to try to use their social skills and contacts to persuade others gently (though enthusiastically) of the rightness of these views; this sometimes results in the ENFP neglecting their nearest and dearest while caught up their efforts to change the world.

ENFPs are also a major asset in brainstorming sessions; follow-through on projects can be a problem, however. ENFPs do get distracted, especially if another interesting issue comes along. They also tend towards procrastination, and dislike performing small, uninteresting tasks.

Haha well you're clearly an extrovert, you're never afraid to state your opinion and if something ticks you off, you're not afraid to express how you feel.

I mean from what I've seen on the boards, I'd say this is accurate. That goes back to what I said before, you have strong values and viewpoints and you defend them, which is something I admire because I over think everything (sometimes I wonder if I'm really an INFP...I feel like an INTP sometimes) and I'm always questioning what I believe. I wish I could be more firm in my beliefs. I'm way too indecisive.

Yeah I agree with this...totally haha. I think you and I are pretty different in terms of personality (although I'm sure if I were more extroverted we would be soooo similar), but there is definitely something charming about your personality, you own it and again, that's very admirable. You're such a gemini! Haha as unreliable as zodiac signs can be, yours is spot.on.

All personalities have things that aren't great - me being so extroverted often means that I suffer quite regularly from what I refer to as Lady Sovereign syndrome - 'love me, or hate me'. I tend to find that people absolutely adore me or absolutely can not stand me and it permanently feels like I'm on a roller coaster ride.

Even when I try to fade into the background of a party or group situation I somehow manage to end up at the centre of controversy and attention and man that can be taxing sometimes. I have tried in the past month to teach myself how to avoid being the centre of attention with mixed results. Spoiler - alcohol consumption does not help with this!

OMG, caitaintdead, I'm an ESFP! We're one letter off!

I didn't take this particular test (the one linked to here) but I've actually taken the "official" thing for fun and evaluated by a friend who specializes in behavioral studies and often administers this test. It's fascinating stuff!

I see what you mean. I tend to have a lot of respect for those suffering from Lady Sovereign syndrome (haha I'm so using that from now on) anyone who is self-aware enough to say, "Hey, this is me, and if you can't handle it...oh well." that's great, I believe that everyone should have that mindset (unless they're being self destructive or flat out mean for no reason). I really can't stand when someone pretends to be someone they're not. A lot of extroverts get a bad rap for being "attention whores". Hey, I've been called one before, because I'm slightly insane but apparently some people think it's an act. A lot of people just judge what is on the surface and they don't take a second to think about who a person truly is...which is totally lame.

It's such a tightrope with the type of person that has the attitude that 'if you don't like me then tough'. I definitely believe that a lot of people use these type of lines as an excuse for poor behaviour. I have absolutely no time at all for people that are nasty or unnecessarily offensive and then say things like 'well it's who I am - tough'.

It makes people like me look bad when I say things like that, as I generally DO care what people think of me. I am who I am and I can accept that, but I also don't like upsetting people and feel terrible when my sometimes abrupt and abrasive attitudes actually hurts someone.

Interestingly enough I feel like this has worse outcomes on Buffy Boards as people don't really get the opportunity to see my 'vibe' or attitude as I believe that as a whole I'm quite a likeable person in real life.

Yeah I totally agree, I feel the same way. I always say that I don't care what people think, but what I mean is...if someone doesn't like me, solely because I'm being myself, well that's their problem. I could care less what people think of my sense of fashion or if they think my taste in music is crap haha but I want people to find me nice and I try really hard to treat people with respect. So yeah, as long as you're respectful and nice and your intentions are good, Lady Sovereign syndrome is a-okay 😀. Also, my VERY first impression of you was that you seemed really cool and chill, then when it came to some heated discussions I remember thinking, "Wow she's um...fiesty" haha but overall you seem very likeable. I also try really hard not to be too judgmental right away because everyone has some depth to them.
