Single and always ready to mingle. Actually I prefer it, I may be 24 and I'm certainly in no rush to be tied down any time soon.

Is there a box to tick that says 'hating on men'? Haha. I can't believe how many single people there are on here compared to coupled up people!

I
InsaneMystic
pretty surprised at that, too...
Haha. I can't believe how many single people there are on here compared to coupled up people!

35 single, 20 in a relationship/married and 8 have it complicated. I can't say that I'm surprised at all. Especially considered that we got quite a few younger members as well.

I'm single, and I've always have been!
My mum thinks is because I might have an attitude that says to boys "You're nice but really nothing special to me".
A friend thinks that it is because I'm a "School hooker", because boys always come talking to me regarding school. Like instead of giving love I give help and answers.
Another friend thinks that it's because I don't flirt with boys (unless I really need something, like more Ice cream, or a bit of help).

In the end, I don't know why I am single, but I don't want to be in a relationship just for the sake of it. I'm not even sure I've already met a guy who will like me even tough I loooove to be a high-maintenance girl and I don't always have the best character. The one who'll love me for who I am will surely be a keeper (even more if he like Buffy).

I've been single for a while, I always used to worry that I should be finding someone to be with to settle down, have a family etc. but now I tend to be more acceptant of things as they are.

I'm good at having functional relationships with other people, but as soon as any intimacy develops it scares the hell out of me. It's like I think if you show weakness to people in that way, you know they're only going to use the opportunity to hurt you. So why bother risking it, and all the commitments and responsiblities that come with it when I'm quite happy on my own at the moment. Thats the way I tend to think about relationships anyhow.

Been with my guy for 2 years at the end of this month 😀 And we have a gorgeous little boy now as well xD

I wasn't particularly looking for a relationship, he just kind of appeared and that was that 😀 So those of you who are single and looking, it may happen when you least expect it! =]

Engaged. Or a "long engagement", as my partner likes to call it (because he's an arse).

Single. I've had 1 serious relationship & it went REALLY bad and now I am way too gunshy to try again. It's been over 8 years now, but I just don't have the energy for it yet.I love living alone (well, with my daughter) and I like my space...plus I don't really have time anyway.

I'm single... Sadly... There's a guy I'm interested in, and I know for a fact he likes me, but he likes one of my best friends too, so he won't date either of us...

I REALLY am tired of being single... And sadly, I have been for 4 years now.🙁

Another single gal here 🙂 I'm like Cait, I came out of a long relationship last year and I'm liking my alone time at the moment. I suppose if someone came along and swept me off my feet, I'd be ready for a new relationship, but so far there's not really anyone. Plus there's the whole leaving the country in a few weeks thing, which makes everything even more complicated than it already is.

I'm in a relationship right now. It's actually my first one, I was single forever before that, kinda mingling around and I ended up finding someone. We've been together about a year now.

I'm single.

I'm smart and not ugly, but most girls - most girls I am physically attracted to, anyway - don't go for introverted book geeks.

Well....as usual I've found this thread late! And what an awesome thread it is! 🙂 I've been single since I got my heart broken, smashed, stomped on. I've been a man hater ever since....no, not really. 😉 I wanted to...for a while but somehow my love for men has returned. 😉 It's funny how when you're single if you've got options its GREAT to be single and when you don't have any options, it SUCKS. Right now, I'm sorta lovin it. You can't live with 'em but you can't live without 'em.
