What is your religion?

My parents are both pretty hardcore Christians, but I'm not so much. I mean, they make me go to church every Sunday & on all those crazy holy days nobody knows about. But I don't really care much about religions. I mean, they're really interesting, but I'm not really a practicer of religions, if that makes sense. I believe there is some sort of a higher being, but I don't think it's all that great.

Atheist/Secular Humanist.

I was raised without any religion and have been a right little Atheist since I was little, never taking assembly seriously, making up my own words to hymns and prayers, when I bothered to pay attention at all.

After all these years I still am and always will be an anti-religious advocate, into secular programs and societies.

I was raised Christian, dabbled in Wicca, and now I'm Agnostic. I won't rule out the existance of God, but for me, I'm not 100% sure he's there... maybe only 10% sure he's there.

I was raised a Catholic, but I'm not practicing. I do believe in God, but I have issues with organized religion and I don't think I need to attend a church in order to worship. God is everywhere, so where ever I'm at, I'm in His arms, right? I say a prayer every day and I'm sure God hears them.....that's good enough for me.

This is pretty much where I stand too. I have alot of qualms with the way the Catholic Church runs itself (especially lately) but I do believe and I do pray.

I wasn't raised with religion, my mum and dad were punks. My parents never forced atheism onto me or anything - they always said it was up to me if I decided to choose a religion when I was older - but to be honest, I just don't see the point. I'm an atheist. 🙂

I'm an Atheist brought up as a Protestant in Northern Ireland. It's a weird subject in my life.

I'm an Athiest. My mom is a Christian. She didn't try to raise us to believe the same as she did though. We would go to church at Christmas but I hated it, except for the part where we got to eat the sweets and the orange.

My mam n dad are atheist, so was i till a year ago. Now i believe in a god(or intelligent design) but i dont follow a religion. I do pray and stuff, totally works 🙂.

I'm pretty much agnostic.
I definitely don't believe in God, but other religions do interest me.
Particularly buddhism and wicca.
However, I've got so much to deal with that religion is the last thing on my mind.
When I'm older, I would like to explore it further but right now I'm pretty much in the 'no one really knows' frame of mind.

I was brought up by two strong atheists , and therefore am imbued with a deep cynicism of most mainstream religions. However I do find religion fascinating, I could debate the existence of God, the Devil, heaven and hell for days.
What I'm cynical of is the rules of mainstream religion, the whole go to church every sunday, pray like this, do this, don't do that, put that down, don't touch that, don't ever do that again thing. Although conversely I'm cynical of the whole God is a mystical force, he will be there for you, wear these beads thing. I recently came to the fairly radical conclusion that if God does exist he is more likely to be a physical being than a mysterious invisible force. I decided because in this world I verify somethings existence by it's observability, and therefore if God exists I assume he will be observable.
I am also fascinated by the idea of Laveyan Satanism which, contray to popular belief, is the idea that everyone is their own God. It really is a very intersting, if slightly disturbing, subject if you look into it.

I love your sig/av :)
I guess you'd call me agnostic. I don't have a religion. I don't believe in the Christian version of God, this male father figure who hands out rewards and punishments at will. I do tend to believe there's some higher power, but that it's a part of all of us and everything, as opposed to something separate ruling over us. I don't think we need to know or believe any particular thing for "salvation." Actually, I don't believe in salvation. I don't believe in heaven or hell.

I find religion interesting but I am an atheist through and through. It's never been something we've really talked about in my family or at school or with friends... it doesn't really come up in conversation.

Gah. I don't even know. I was raised--well, am still being raised--by a protestants, and up until about a year or so ago that's pretty much what I believed in. But lately my opinions regarding religion have shifted more towards agnosticism. On one hand, I think it's sort of arrogant to outright say that a God is real without having any hardcore evidence to prove it. But on the other hand I like the idea of a God, someone, something watching over all of us. Then again, what kind of God would let us live in the world we do? Murder, war, hatred...

I'd suppose I'm right in the middle, with the two endpoints being atheism and I-love-Jesus.
