What kept the happiness factor going today?

The fact that I'm using the internet even after being "sternly" told not to by my dear mother because there's a serious virus threat on Internet Explorer...do I care, though? Nope...
 
Someone smoked me out today, that was very cool of them, and very happy-making for me. 🙂

Also I did not wake up at 3.30am like I usually do.

Oh last night, I was busily playing away on my Computer when I heard screaching tires and the next second it made big crashy kind of sound. What had happened? A jolly Dutch driver hit our Belgian power box outside the house with his French car (nothing happened to the driver, he just completely flatened our electricity box). Therefore I've got now a pretext to annex Belgium, France and Holland, which is quite nice. At the same time though, it also meant that we could spend some quality time with the housemates. Got to see people I've never really talked with and stuff. And I watched Scream (due to laptop, but battery when low at some stage), so it was a fun night, just like in the good old days of the 19th century. We watched also some Buffy, which was quite nice and fitting. So yes, happy me oh and I've got holidays ^^


However, it took the repair guys until 9.30 this morning to bring the power back on. They promised it would be done by 4.


PS: That was my vodka that went down the drain :'(
 
I'm SO happy we have power again.
Seriously, the whole night long (til like 9:30 in the morning...which I know because SOMEONE tried to wake me up....people should know better than waking me up because of anything, seriously!).
So yeah, you might wonder what happened. Some stupid Dutch git crashed his car into our power supply thingy in front of the house. You should've seen it, it was completely destroyed (although I guess it could've been worse...somebody could've been walking there or something). First (after a short total blackput) we at least still had light in the kitchen and in the hallway, but then, when somebody came to fix the box thing, we had no power at all anymore. Yup, so for like 8 hours we were trapped in total darkness. A friend forced 20 candles upon ,me some months ago....yesterday I was SO glad she did 😛 Well yeah, we all had candles on for most of the night, and I think most of our lighters are empty now, which is not too cool, I should buy new ones.
Well, and we tried to make the best of a bad situation, sooooo we watched some scary Buffy 😀 Okay, the first one was scary....the second one was 'SOmething Blue', which we watched more for the fun factor. But yeah, two episodes was all we got due to blaptop battery failure after that.
But even without laptops, it was inda nice. People were talking to each other. At some point we were all in the kitchen just smoking some stuff.
Uh, and there was apparently this incident when somebody poured vodka down the drain.....not nice.

Well anyway, I'm happy the power is back, cheers 😀
 
Yesterday evening, I was reading stuff, for a paper due tomorrow morning. Well, technically, I was watching youtube videos with a book on my lap, but that's not the point right now. Then, there was a "Iiieeehhh...BANG" (I couldn't hear it because of music being played too loudly, but apparently it sounded like that) and then there was no more electricity and I was sitting in the dark. Turns out, a car crashed into the outerwall of our little courtyard-thingy, right into the electricityboxcupbordthingy that is placed against said wall. So we and our neighbours had no electricity and no internet since our divider thingy works on..electricity. (I should say no one was hurt, otherwise it wouldn't be funny) Everyone was like "WTF what are we going to do now?!" It was incredibly funny. We were being all medieval, walking around with candles and small flashlights. Some people decided to go to bed, others decided to watch what was going on outside from the safe warmness of a room with a perfect view on the police cars and everything (Being QM, me and another housemate). And we watched Hush on the last bit of laptop battery. And we drank vodka in a kitchen only lit by candles. It was all very much fun, only now I still have a lot to do paperwritiingwise. But anyway, that's another Smeermaas adventure for ya ^^
 
Ehh flaming lips were in charmed today..i guess that was o'k. Although i dont really watch charmed, flaming lips are awright, so took the edge aff it . Belter
 
I finished my paper! Woohooo 🙂 Well, that is to say, I still have to check it for stupid mistakes, and I have to hand it in of course. I'm really proud of myself. It is not as good as it could have been if I had more time and a higher word limit and everything, but, considering the circumstances, it is more or less allright. I don't think I'm gonna fail this one as horribly as my exam. I hope. I really need a decent grade for this one. Now I'm gonna sleep for an hour or so and pray I don't oversleep and still miss the deadline ^^
 
I scived today and it was great! 🙂 a nice lie in! and my little nephew's coming around AND we've got our new wishwasher today,no more washing up!
