all those passive athletes out there (and the active ones too) I'd like to know what kind of sports do you enjoy to watch?

I don't know about the States or Australia, but the european passive athletes were being spoiled with Roland Garros and Wimbledon tennis tournaments and are currently getting their daily Tour de France fix.

Myself, I enjoy a good tennis match (Belgian Pride!)
and oc the nicely shaped bods of bicycle racers :1a:
No seriously, I love watching Tour de France! And I am of course cheering for Tom Boonen! :cheering: Anyone watching with me?

other then that I can always watch Gymnastics or figure skating.

I cant stand watching autosport though... I find it a little boring :s
 
I don't really like sports that much. When my dad or brother watch something in the living room I might watch (parts) with them of basically any sport. They usually keep track of any sport that the Dutchies are doing well in. Although in the case of the Tour de France, we also don't mind seeing Tom Boonen win a few points 😛.

I barely ever turn on the telly myself to watch sports. I only do so for really important/exciting football (soccer) matches (like the UEFA Champions League finale). Or the Dutch National Team or any Dutch club (in particular Feyenoord) is doing well on the European/International stage.

I've given up on the Belgian soccer teams, maybe I should just root for oranje along with you 😉
I'm kidding, the only time I saw a Dutch team play soccer was when there was a match between Belgium and the Netherlands... oh and also in 'Voetbalvrouwen' 🙂
 
I have zero interest in watching most sports on TV. I do like watching tennis, volleyball....badminton is pretty wild to watch, gets a little old after awhile.

I love watching competitive skateboarding, snowboarding on TV. Pretty much all the Winter Olympics...

badminton is cool, I've never actually watched it, but I play, so I have no clue about the rules ^^'
i watch baseball games occasionally. mostly boston. it's pretty much the only sport i can understand haha. oh and i catch the superbowl every year for good drinking fun!

I've never seen a baseball match, I still regret not going to one in Japan!
I'm watching important soccer games. Not really any national league but more the international ones. I'm German, so especially the ones against Holland are interesting for me ;-)
And I'm also watching the Olympic Games or European Championships. Doesn't really matter which sport it actually is. I always find a something...
What I can't stand is bicycling.

I only watch the big and importatnt games as well, but I'd rather watch tennis or road races
I don't mind watching a bit of sport. Tendancies towards the Australian Open (tennis) and any sort of worldly competition...I used to go out of my way to watch formula 1 but it's shown so late over here most of the time and I'm starting work so early that I tend to give it a miss these days.

Oh...and state of origin rugby league....that's probably the only 3 games of rugby league a year I will whole heartedly watch with Queensland pride on my sleeve....and maybe the grand final if there's a team I like in it.

I like the australian open too, but we have to get up in the middle of the night to watch it live :/ I did watch it live while I was in japan tho, the women's finals with Mauresmo and Henin
I'll watch the Rugby Union. And get quite teary if Australia wins anything. (Because we all know the All Blacks should win everything and Australia should lose everything they play, Even to the Boks.).

Watch a bit or soccer here and there, but not really religiously. Netball can also be a really good sport to watch. And Field Hockey. And a bit of AFL if the Sydney swans are playing. Also I agree with Def, State of origin can be interesting, but Im more of a New South Wales Blues supporter, rather than a Queensland reds supporter 😛

I loved playing netball back in school, and our hockey team wasn't half bad either...but I've never just watched a real game
Football...or Soccer to those of not in Eurpore or whatever. i miss football during the summer, when there's no European Cup, or World Cup...seriously go through withdrawl symptoms. i get all bouncing and excited when the commericals come on advertsing th new season! lol
for those of you who want to know, i support Manchester United religiously, followed them my whole life. only my sister and i support them in our house, the rest of my family support Leeds, lol, interesting times in our house! lol
during the World Cup and stuff, i support Northern Ireland, of course...unless they don't make it through, and then i support the next best thing...England.

don't watch many other sports, although i am going to my very first rugby match in August, my best friend wants to see if she can get me as addicted to the sport as she is! i'll be going to watch and Ireland Vs. Italy match at Ravenhill, i think. lol

is WWE a sport? no? ok, then that's all i watch

It would probably be easier for me to list the sports I don't watch.

I do much more prefer to play than watch though.

I've religiously played football every saturday morning for the past decade.(and most Sundays) Tennis, Golf(not as often as I'd like). I play snooker once a week...is that really a sport though? Squash. Table Tennis I don't play, but watching it sometimes is mesmerizing. When I was younger I watched athletics a lot, now I don't much care for it.


I pretty much hate all North American sports. American Football, I think I despise that the most of the NA "sports". Baseball sucks, but not as much as cricket. Basketball.10 feet giants throwing a ball into a hoop. How can they miss?? Basketball should be a sport played by 5 foot midgets, then it would be entertaining.

I think my most despised sport is badmington. Seriously? It's name just gives it away.

Oh I love badmington! Not to watch but we got one of those nets at home in the backyard so in summer we usually play until it's dark or the mozzies chase up inside.

My mother is the most violent badmington player in the world.... :lmao:

I love watching Soccer , it is seriously the best.
but when i watch it it makes me wanna play hahaha i miss playing too.
and i also dont mind ice hockey, american football, NRL and gymnastics.
and also ice skating.. its lovely. haha

Baseball and by baseball I mean, The Chicago Cubs.

Then there's wrestling as in, WWE, TNA, old school ECW, Japanese, Lucha Libre. And YES, wrestling is a sport, just with a little Flair. Haha get it, Flair? Oh nevermind.

I love watching horse racing! But I work with them for a living so go figure. I also watch professional rodeo and professional bullriding as well.
 
I watch quite a few sports. Baseball (White Sox and anyone who plays against the Cubs.......), NBA (Bulls),
NFL (Eagles), Boxing, UFC, NASCAR, IRL, and WWE.
 
Football. That's all I watch.

We watch all the NFL games that we can. Hubby has the NFL network so that we don't miss out. I am an extreme Bears fan.
