I have never argued about being greedy - I would never claim to be.
I am self absorbed to a certain extent as we all are. Even the most altruistic amongst us can't deny the 'happy' they get from helping thus keeps on WHILE thinking abit about ourselves.
There are SO many things that I care about and so many that I don't doesn't make me a bad/good person just a person.
Having said that I do feel that SOMETIMES (though not that often) people perceive what I have said here to mean something based on a prejudice they already have.
Another thing that made me happy was posting in this thread.
It made me realise how much money I have raised to date for various charities.
I have raised:
£20000 for Zambia/Ghana/Darfur in the last 6 years.
£19584 for Scope over the next 4 years (thats what I currently work for)
£34560 for CARE International over the next 4 years (thats the charity I worked on last week and while it seems like alot, its not really. That breaks down at an average of 2 sign ups an hour over a 35 hour week with an average sign up of £10 per month - thinking about it in those terms just goes to show how much you can raise for charity if you put in the time)
