What Moment/Scene "Hooked" You

To be honest, back in the day when Buffy was first running on TV I didn't really watch it because I thought the vampire/demon makeup looked trashy. I never bought it and thought this must be a cheap, stupid show. Then one day I didn't have a lot to do and watched, and I mean really watched one episode on TV from the beginning to the end. It was an Willow/Oz episode, I think the one where they break up. Even though it certainly was not the best episode I was hooked because I realized the show is far from stupid, it nearly moved me to tears - and I wasn't even really invested in the characters! That must've been in 2000. And from then on I loved it and couldn't wait for each new episode to come out. Until this day I still think Buffy is the best US-TV show ever made. Whenever I feel bad I rewatch my DVD's and instantly feel better.

Haha yes! I watched season 4 first (intentionally), and I was so entirely confused...I had no other choice but to watch the previous seasons and so on. I kind of did the same thing with Angel. I watched Five by Five, Sanctuary, and Darla before anything else, and then I had just had to see the rest.

The ending of "The Gift". And then I found out Buffy was going to be resurrected for the next season on UPN. Then I had to find out what happened next.

I remember it very well, it was the first episode I watched which was Surprised. I instantly fell in love with the Bangel relationship and all of the charaters. I was lucky because shortly after the episode aired, Sky put the episodes on hiatus then started the show from Season 1. Its always been my favorite episode.

They started playing Buffy (briefly) early last year at night & around the sitcom channels. So I gave it a chance because I was bored. I think the moment that really hooked me was the "Nightmares" episode and how creepy all their nightmares were. I like Scooby-Doo, so when I realized this show had a group of youths who solved monster mysteries I had to give it a go. And voila 8)

I'm not sure. I want to say Becoming part 2, when Buffy "kills" Angel, because it's such a brilliant scene, and I definitly think I was hooked for life after that, but I was watching Buffy reguraly before that. Maybe it was gradual, happening sometime during season 1. Maybe it was when Buffy did the walk with Xander & Angel in Propechy Girl and then killed The Master(I loved it then, but find it cheesy now). Maybe it was when my heart broke for Buffy because Owen turned out to like danger, not Buffy, in Never Kill a Boy on the First Date.

I'm unsure.

Witch. I DESPISED the first two episodes... and I don't normally even count them... but Witch had the catchy dialogue, the scares, the everything. Until the middle of Witch, I was only watching Buffy because my friends wanted me to. After that, I watched it because it was a good show!

I loved Buffy, I thought it was great TV but I was never overly fussed if I missed an episode. All that changed when I watched Nightmares. I thought it was epic and so memorable.

The moment Spike and Dru did that head turny thing in School Hard then I was completely hooked. I'd watched from the beginning, but in that moment BtVS ceased being a TV show I just watched each week and became an addiction 🙂
