What quote spoke by any character made you cry the most?

Well, I'm a big crybaby, so for me, there are many tear-jerking moments. The ones that get to me the most are:
The Angelus/Buffy bedroom scene in Innocence
Buffy killing Angel in Becoming Pt. 2
Buffy's speech to Angel in Amends. "What about me? I love you so much, and I tried to make you go away. I killed you and it didn't help..."
Angel/Buffy in I Will Remember You: "I'll never forget..."
The entire episode of A Hole in the World, but especially:
Fred's death in Wesley's arms. "Would you have loved me?" Fred
"I've loved you since I've known you. No, that's not...I think maybe even before." Wes
The entire episode of Shells
Wes's death in Fred/Illyria's arms in Not Fade Away
Anya's death and Xander's reaction to it:
"That's my girl. Always doing the stupid thing."
And, of course, Buffy's death in The Gift

This is one of my favorite Angel quotes, its from Hero.

Doyle: When the chips are down, and you're at the end of your rope you need someone that you can count on. And that's what you'll find here - someone that will go all the way, no matter what. So don't lose hope. Come on over to our offices and you'll see that there's still heroes in this world.

i perfer the end of that...when Cordy and Angel are watching it back after Doyle has died, and at the end, he says 'Is that it? Am I done'

OH GOD! the tears!

Honestly I found that moment amusing. I thought it was supposed to be funny.

Theres so manz moments that made me cry so much...
here are some of my favs:

- Jonathans speech in "The Prom"

- Anya in "The Body"

- Fred's death in "A Hole in The World" and the end of "Shells"

- Holland Manners speech in "Reprise" and Angel's black despair afterwards

- Doyles "Is that it? Am I done?"

- and last but not least Angel's "Lets go to work" in "Not Fade Away" cause i realized that the show is over.... that was so sad... I cried like a baby:cry0:

The only time I actually cried (not just tear up) was at the end of Shells with Fred leaving home. It was just sad to know that she was just going to end up living in a crappy hell demension and getting body-jacked by a blue hell-god. It just sucks to be her. That's sad.

PAssion:
1-Angel narrating
2- Buffy: I'm sorry i couldn't kill him for her, for you, when i had the chance. I wasn't ready but i think i finnaly am. Angel is gone.. Nothing ever gonna bring him back.

Innocence:
1- When buffy is crying in her bed with the ring that angel gave her..
2- Buffy's dream.. Angel:" you need to know what you see"

The PRom:
1- when jonathan is telling the speech about the class protector and when buffy is wlaking to receive the umbrella.

The gift
1- buffy speech to dawn

Forever:
1- Buffy and angel conversation
2- Buffy and dawn discussion

hm, i cried at some of these too, but rather than repeat them, ill try and think of some which made me cry that no one's said yet:

1. in 'conversations with dead people', when willow thinks she's talking to tara through cassie
2. in 'the wish' when alternate-reality buffy and the "white hats" kill all their friends like they're just the demons-of-the-week
3. a lot of the stuff in 'new moon rising'
4. in 'tough love' when willow comes to tara after glory got her and tells her she's sorry, and lots of other stuff in that episode
5. willow pleading with buffy to help her in 'wrecked'
6. the xander/anya angsty stuff at the end of 'entropy'

trust me, i had many more. i think i cry too much 🙁

From Buffy it there was a whole lot, but one that really got me good was:

Touched:

SPIKE
You listen to me. I've been alive a bit longer than you and
dead a lot longer than that. I've seen things you couldn't
imagine and done things I'd prefer you didn't. I don't
exactly have a reputation for being a thinker. I follow my
blood which doesn't exactly rush in the direction of my
brain so I make a lot of mistakes. A lot of wrong bloody
calls. A hundred plus years and there's only one thing I've
ever been sure of. You.

SPIKE
Hey, look at me. I'm not asking you for anything. When I
say I love you, it's not because I want you, or because I
can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what
you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your
kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and the
worst of you and I understand with perfect clarity exactly
what you are. You are a hell of a woman.

SPIKE
You're the one, Buffy.

And from Angel:
A hole in the world

FRED
I need you to talk to my parents. They have to know I wasn't scared,
that it was quick. That I wasn't scared.

FRED
I'm not scared. I'm not scared. I'm not scared.
Please, Wesley, why can't I stay?

Of course that is sad.
Also from You're Welcome when Angel gets the phone call about Cordy and even a moment before that when they kiss after she is saying goodbye.
And then Not Fade Away:

FRED
It's gonna be OK. It won't hurt much longer, and then you'll be where
I am.
We'll be together.
WESLEY
I, I love you.
FRED
I love you. My love. Oh, my love

None of the quotes vere made me cry but there are some that got me teary eyed.

Buffy's Speech at the end of The Gift.
Cordelia's Good-Bye Speech in You're Welcome.
Spike's "No you don't" at the end of Chosen
Buffy and Dawn's argument about Joyce being dead in Forever.
Illyria lying to Wesley in Not Fade Away.

1. Buffy's The Gift speech.
2. Jonathan's speech in The Prom. [I don't know why, it just got to me.]
3. Spike's "how you try" speech in Touched.

This didn't make me cry, but it was particularly poignant. It was in Angel, the episode Damage, and Angel and Spike were talking about Dana the Vampire Slayer, who had just gone off with Johnathon.

Spike; She's one of us now...she's a monster.

Angel: She's an innocent victim.

Spike: So were we, once upon a time.

Angel: Once upon a time...

The only scene that makes me cry is Buffy's death and speech in 'The Gift'. The shots of everyone crying over her body makes me howl everytime I watch it, especially Spike.:cry::cry:: Lots of the other moments mentioned in this thread make my lip tremble a little though, lol.

Wow, I've read all of your guys best crying moments, and a lot of them I agree with! You all have nailed the ones I have in mind so no need to list them 🙂

Yay for resurrecting old threads...

I could start crying in any quote in Btvs/Angel, because I think waaaaaaaaay too much, but Anya's in 'The Body' is definetly the one that sends me into tears before I even put the DVD in. Also when Buffy says "close your eyes" to Angel... so sad 🙁

I cry everytime at Anya's speech in The Body. It's heartbreaking. There's also the Buffy/Angel talk at the end of I Will Remember You and Becoming Part 2.

To a lesser extent I sometimes cry at the speach in Prom, but its more because of the look that Xander gives Buffy. He looks like a proud older brother. Its so sad 🙁

I Also think another episode deserves mention here. (I had a quick skim read through the thread, dont think anyone posted it)

The second to last and last scene in season sevens 'Help' for me is a very powerful scene

WILLOW
How is her mom?

BUFFY
OK. (beat) As OK as... she told me that her family had a history of heart irregularities, but she never told Cassie.

WILLOW
Cassie didn't know? Then it was fate?

XANDER
I think she was gonna die, no matter what, wasn't she. Didn't matter what you did.

BUFFY
She just knew. She was special. I failed her.

DAWN
(crying) Uh-uh. No. You didn't, 'cause you tried. You listened, and you tried. She died 'cause of her heart, not 'cause of you. She was my friend because of you. I guess sometimes you can't help.

BUFFY
So what then? What do you do when you know that? When you know that maybe you can't help?

And then buffy goes back to school to be guidance counsellor again.

I think the music when they're in the house is amazing. you can barely hear it, but i think its great. I may have shed a tear the first time i watched this.

Here's my favourite dialogue:

WILLOW: Shut up. (she magically cuts his face)

XANDER: I love you.

(she magically slices at his chest)

XANDER: I... love -- (she blasts him, but he gets back up & staggers towards her)

WILLOW: Shut up.

(she blasts him again, weaker)

XANDER: I love you, Willow.

WILLOW: Stop...(weak blast)

XANDER: I love you.

WILLOW: Stop!

(she punches at him with her fists, breaks down crying in his arms, her hair turning back to red)

XANDER: (softly) I love you.
