the way people seem to just talk at each other instead of too each other. all the threads seem to be "post your opinion" and they do, then knowone comments on anyone elses thought other then maybe "i agree" or if their feeling nasty "i disagree!"

I agree! lol, no really I do. I've noticed and maybe we should 'spring' off other opinions insted of giving our own all the time!! *relises that was an opinion*
 
why does this always happen?

i try and keep the peace i try and let you by how you are but then one day (like this one) i let it all out and make a fuss and what happens?

people agree with!?!?

What you say is true, of course, but how does this differ from what happens at any other message board.

If you know of a message board where threads always remain on topic and only further an intelligent study of previous comments, please, give me a link. I get around the internet as much as the next guy. I don't know of one.

BTW, not to be nasty, but are you sure you've never been guilty of the sin you're accusing others of.

I notice that most of the threads in Caritas go way off topic and turn into a male bashing thread where all the girls say that all men are evil or something like 99.9% of all men are evil. They'll go into that big rant when that's not even what the thread is about! And that's such an ignorant statement for a person to make. That's why I'm trying to stay away from the board as much as possible while I'm trying to fight off this disease, because I don't need people calling me evil when they don't even know me.
 
Mike you know that whatever I say about men does not concern you...And believe me that we all try to stay on topic..And Faldor I'm sure there're a lot of people who like you..If it wasn't so no one'd even reply to this thread...

Yeah, but by saying all men are, that still includes my male family members and my male friends, your male family members and your male friends.

Faldor,you're always complaing about something,if you don't like this place just leave,..don't get me wrong,I am NOT telling you to go.
I'm registrated in a lot of boards,and the 'I agree-I disagree' stuff is everywhere so I think you should start to get used to it cuz we're not going to stop talking and writing that way because you don't like it

First of all there are no male family members in my family,secondly I don't have any male friends apart from on line ones..if you fel offended then I'm sorry it's just my point of view...
 
Ana8 - it's impossible for you to say you have no male family members. even if they're dead, I'm sure you had a grandfather and father.

Shell - some men are very evil. if you ask ana, she'll probably tell you about all the things I witness men doing to women. However, the population of men who are kind-hearted is much much much bigger than the ones that hate women. I'm not affended if I misunderstood.
 
Gosh...I hope Faldor doesn't take Magui's advice and leave (and by the way telling someone to leave when you disagree with them is a pretty bad arguement, if you ask me).

Faldor is one of my favourite posters to read. I'm serious. His posts are usually funny, and often insightful.

In fact, after having attacked his point, I'd now like to defend it.

I think the greatest defense of Faldor's arguement is the fact he posts a thread noticing how threads degenerate into personal, off-topic declarations, and that very thread disolves into talk of male-bashing.

It's almost hilarious really...
 
lol... i tempted to say that i agree lol but... oh what the heck I AGREE!! cos i do. i know that i do it all the time and i think that it is really annoying. i do it when i cant think of anything to say (and thats most of the time lol 😀) i will try and think of something interessting but nothing happens hehe 😀.
I dont think that i have ever noticed the way the topics always end up saying that men are evil lol 😀, but thats prob just me hehe 😀

by the way Faldor is smegging from Red Dwarf? i love that show it rocks!!! 😀
 
Well, as far as everything that's been said so far goes...

Um, I agree that some threads can get very impersonal...I have tried really hard in the past to start deeper threads and they just become the same surface crap...so I hardly try anymore...but I have also seen people interact very well...I think it just comes and goes as people come and go...sometimes that perfect harmony is there...and other times it is lacking...

As far as man hating goes...haven't seen much of that personally...but Hero...I really like the male gender...Most of my bestest friends are guys...don't know what I'd do without them...besides...I think that women can often be worse. 😛 😉

Magui, I see your frustration...and I love you for being honest...but I hope that Faldor stays too...see, he's an aquired taste...lol...I have chated with him on MSN and he is actually quite charming if you can get past that barrier of seemingly involuntary cynicism...lol. 😉 But that's what I DO love about this place. How different you all are. It makes things interesting to say the least.

I do try to read all of the posts and try to figure most of you out...but the fact remains that some elements just don't mix well together...so you will always have these internal wars and misconceptions...and they are certainly welcome in my book...even if they do cause the occasional spat. What's that saying...the beauty is in the flaws...

But what the hell do I know...I've been up for WAY too long and my brain is working on nada...goodnight...
 
HERO: I think you just turned this into one of those male-bashing threads and by doing this, you fulfilled Faldor's wishes... a thread with some serious discussing based on arguments.

MAGUI: I don't think there's anything wrong with Faldor complaining, as long as it's in a civilized matter. It's much better if he speaks his mind and gives suggestions to improve the boards, then just cropping his frustrations up.

FALDOR: I agree 😉

and its good to complain, gets everything out in the open. 🙂
