I should never post in topics like this.
Religion has nothing to do with God. Its about fear, feeling like you belong, having a sense of community, that there are others out there like you, that you are not alone.
And I guess that applies to belief in God as well. That there is some grand purpose to life, that there is a design behind it all, and that there is some superior power there, watching over you. That you are not alone.
Some people just need to believe in things like this, no disrespect to anyone, but it gives purpose to a persons life that might not be there by their own ambition or motivation. Their own will to make life matter where there is no purpose.
This is certainly what I percieve from my experiences with those people that are religiously inclined.
