Thats 20 "new" movies coming out in the next few months. There could be more. I thought there were close to 30 originally.

What movies would you pay to see in the cinema again?
 
So, having said I would prefer original, good new content over rereleasing some stuff in cinemas, there are likely some older films that I would not mind seeing in the cinema for the first time. Alien and Aliens, Star Wars 4-6 (maybe the remastered versions?) for example. Perhaps some of the classic 80s slashers; Halloween (which I think was 70s... goes to check... 1978) and A Nightmare on Elm Street for instance.
 
I think Gone With The Wind is out this week for the 85th Anniversary. Hey, 1939 Week and 1989 Week.
 
Nice thing about Austin is having Alamo Drafthouses. They tend to show reruns of a lot of older films. Case in point, this April alone:

As I understand it, sort of. The circuit franchise is up for sale (the rights to create a franchise location and who they deal with) but the locations actually owned by Alamo are not.
 
Thursday I'm going to rewatch Forrest Gump on the big screen. One month since I planned to go with my bro.

Last 31 october, there was multiple horror movies only in Paris, 2 movies for one session (Alien, The Thing, Conjuring, Psycho, Christine, The Silence Of The Lambs, The Exorcist (1973). I wanted to go so bad but not having much money to go to Paris for the evening. I wouldn't been able to watch all these movies at the same time.
Alien, Christine, The Silence Of The Lambs would have been my priority.
The Thing would have been terrifying on the big screen.
 
I'm going to have a spare few minutes in March 2025 so how about doing a rerun of the times Buffy and Xander got close, that includes the beginning and ending credits.
 
I would like to see the Jamaican classic, one of the first movies ever made in Jamaica by Jamaicans. It's very dated, but I remember it being very dramatic. I'd love a chance to see it through adult eyes. Whatever you think of the movie, IMO, it has one of the best Soundtracks ever. At least, if you like reggae and rock steady...

The Harder They Come 1972 - starring musician Jimmy Cliff who was a local star and became a bigger and eventually an international one partly as a result of the movie.


No idea how long the movie will be up on youtube, but it's there at the moment. Yes, those were the buses on the road back then.
