Reading "What Sucks About Your Job?" made me all depressed so lets hear what's good about your job!

Me: I can just browse the internet if there's nothing to do.

It's very laid back, do what you like place, where you get treated as a complete equal to the manager.

I only work 4 hours a day (1-5) but get 5 weeks holiday in a year! Oh and it pays double the amount of any other job I've had. I love it. 🙂

I want your job. :(
The thing that I like most about my job is that, since going on long term disability, I no longer have to do it. No phone calls in the middle of the night because some idiot didn't check the oil in a motor before running it, no 25 year old "engineer" trying to tell me how to do something that I've been doing quite well for 40 years without his assistance, and no loud, hot, filthy working area. And no getting up at 5:30 in the morning to get there.

The girls I work with who are in the same temping boat as me. They are awesome, they make work less crap.

Collecting duplicate photos that students and members send in for their cards...and stealing rubber bands for Stevie-Bob.

I make my own fun. 😛

1. The money. It pays quite well for a job that doesn't really take much training.

2. The flexibility. I'm a temp - although probably not the right word as the job is not temporary as such; I work part-time through an agency who are told by the company how many temps they'll need each day and the agency books us accordingly. So the amount of time I work varies a lot; one week I'll have three shifts, another I'll have one or none at all. There's a great deal of freedom involved. Next week, for example, I'm visiting a friend of mine for five days and in planning it I didn't have to worry about asking for time off or anything - I just didn't sign up for those particular days. And I'm also planning a trip to Glasgow in March which would have been a hell of a lot harder to do had I been working regular shifts.

So yeah. Freedom and money. :biggrin:
 
The 10% discount, some of my friends work there , some customers are my friends. The food they sell, the money (partly why am still there) thats really about it !
 
This is what I've wanted to do with my life since I was in high school. I love teaching. I also love that it's not retail, I'm basically my own supervisor, and I can set my own office hours (not my own teaching hours, but maybe after getting my PhD, that will come).
 
. The money is really good for a part time job, so that's a big plus.
. Occasionally a really cool job will come along, drawing and coloring a comic book for a client at the moment, yay, keeps my inner comic geek all giddy. Oh and designing t-shirts is fun too. 🙂
. I get to work nights, i don't function in the mornings, so that's good.
 
I LOVE my job. Granted i only work on day a week on a Sunday but i love it.

Take today for example:

1)I made up my one "sticker" version for holing out for a hero-replace hero with sticker
2)I found out that a guy called scott i work with thinks he will end the world-to that i said if he did i'd eat my own eyeball-many,many laughs.
3) I created a musical version of my work place 🙂 with my friend-were goign to sing 9 to 5 dolly parton (sp?) 😛
4)We came up with p-star names-say hello to SKIPPY WRIGHT! lol
5) I work with two middle aged crazy people who are fantastic
6) We talked about moving England with a large boat next to Australia becuase we hate the rain
7) Me and my friend Polly have the most disgustingly funny conversations-Hermaphrodites-LOL
8) I get free food and drink 🙂
9)I get to mock the customers
10) I get to chat crazy rubbish all day 🙂

I used to enjoy the actual work I did but I got moved so not so much now as the work is not as interesting so before I would have said the work itself. At the moment it is the people that I work with, they know how to cheer me up, how to wind me up and if something big comes up we band together and get it done. When you spend so many long hours like I do at work it helps if you have the company to get you through it.
 
I make a decent living for what I do, and especially considering that I'm a civil servant. On the whole civil service generally doesn't pay that well, compared to the private sector, but the benefits usually rock and there's a lot of job security. So, I guess that'd be a plus for me. Also, I enjoy my work. Out of my immediate coworkers, those in my department, all but one of them is fantastic.
