What season 1 episode did you find the creepiest?

I found the Puppet Show to be really creepy...I remember watching it, and at night, I was seriously scared to go to sleep because of ''Sid''.

So which season 1 episode did you find most creepy, and why?
 
You know, almost everyone says "The Puppet Show" to this question, but for me it was "Witch", hands down.

Especially the first time I saw it. By that point we'd only really seen the two part series opener so you don't really know what to expect. It's a really good episode with an awesome twist, but there are parts that have the creep factor working big time. The scene where Giles and Buffy arrive at Amy's house still creeps me out. There's a house in my neighborhood back home that looks EXACTLY like the exterior of Amy's house, and it always reminds me of it.

Nightmares. That clown scares me every single time despite the fact that i've seen it multiple times.

That might have been my top S1 moment. Xander spends the entire episode running away from that clown, then realizes how stupid the whole thing is and KO's him with one punch. So awesome.
 
Okay don't laugh at me but "Teacher's Pet" I use to be so terrified of bugs when I was a kid! So when I saw this episode when I was 6 I use to hide behind my pillow whenever the bug showed up, looking at it now I am now like look at the old ways of making bugs like that but when I was younger I was couldn't watch it, I remember when I was 12 my mum wanted to re-watch all the seasons before season 7 was released so when we watched season 1 I said we had seen "Teacher's Pet" when really we didn't, I finally got over it though haha 😛

But "The Pack" is properly the creepiest for me now as I hate the idea of people eating over people >.<

I was actually gonna say teacher's pet too....cause of the whole mating thing -Ick!!!!
For me, I find 'Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind' the most creepy. Mainly for that last scene in the Bronze, where Cordelia is getting tortured by the invisible girl.

Nightmares; I mean clowns give me the wig, spiders send me into hysterics, but the mere thought of your nightmares and everyone else's becoming reality around you, freaks the hell out of me. But not so much that it stopped me enjoying whatever I was eating at the time, or that I didn't forget all about it once the episode was over haha, so now worries.
 
I think Nightmares. That was the episode that drew me to the show, too. Out of mind out of Sight is a good runner up. The end scene with Cordelia is uncomfortable.
 
Nightmares, was a very disturbing episode...a very dark and adult episode in tone. It may not of had the strong adult relationships with added emotional baggage from later seasons, but to deal with the subject of child abuse this early on...well let's just say that at 14 I found this quite heavy!
 
The puppet show for me too, Sid just creeps me out (and I hate that he's in Chaos Bleeds)
 
The Pack. No question. The scariest part was when the pack was repeating Willow's name. God, it scared the crap out of me the first time I watched it.

To this day, it remains one of my favorite Buffy episodes of all time. In my opinion, this was the turning point of the series. At first there was established mortality, but this episode showed that people can die in any random episode, under any random curse. (ie: Passion, A Hole in the World)
 
The Puppet Show was really creepy for me as well, especially when we find Sid looking through Buffy's bedroom window when she goes to bed. 😱
 
Sid was awesome! He should have been part of the gang. 😉

As for the OP's question... It would be Nightmares for me. Not that it's that creepy, but it's definitely more unnerving than others.
 
The Ugly Man from Nightmares still scares the crap out of me. I once saw a guy in LA that looked just like that. No joke. I crossed the street.

Many have mentioned The Puppet Show, but I think it is just a comedy episode, really. I've watched it countless times before going to sleep. Not that Nightmares would give me... well, nightmares. It's just easier to fall asleep if it's not that exciting.
And I'm also not saying that The Puppet Show is so boring that I'm falling asleep watching it. 😱
