Ok, so I don't know where else to post this. But I was wondering what season, like winter or summer, is it during the 7th season of Buffy?

Well, I'm assuming it goes through the entire year school year, especially since Lessons takes place as Dawn is starting her sophmore year at the new SHS. Why do you ask?

I recall somewhere in the middle of the season hearing Buffy say 'I didn't even realize it was December' or something like that while walking with Giles. As for where it begins, since school is opening I'd say August or September and runs through spring near the end.

Hum, I always thought each season went through autumn, winter and spring. Because every time a new season start, they mention how summer just ended(at least the first three seasons in high school). So I'm pretty sure s7 takes place during those three same seasons.

It's obvious to me that Season 7 is set during the entire school year of 2002-2003. "Lessons" is obviously set during the late summer or early fall. And "First Date" is obviously set around Valentine's Day.

Lesley and Mark Twain karma! Your entire sig is just fantastic. So is your av!
It's been mentioned that Lessons starts with the beginning of the school year. Also, in Get It Done (or possibly Storyteller), Buffy mentions that the activity of the Hellmouth increases every spring (by way of explaining the current upsurge of paranormal events). So we can conclude that Season Seven is like Season Three, and it spans the course of a whole school year. Or probably a little less, since from Empty Places on, every episode ends with a cliffhanger and therefore there is usually going to be less than a week from the end of one episode to the end of the next. Let's see, Empty Places' airdate is the end of April, so Chosen should be taking place in early May. (Which isn't that different from its airdate of May 20. And sure enough, the line from Get It Done goes on to say that the Hellmouth was a little ahead of schedule. See, it fits together!😉)

Somebody's thought this through! I love how it all fits together neatly.
When I was more dipping in and out of Buffy than watching it... I used to think it was always Christmas because of the wreath on Buffy door. D'oh.

Yeah, that's true. I always figured it went from beginning of the school year to the end of the school year.

Which actually makes me think it would have been interesting to have just one season happen during the summer. What, does all the major evil appear only during school time? 😀

Yes! And the big bad always dies at the end of the school year. That way the Scoobies can enjoy a rest in the summer. 😉

Or spend the summer running away because you just killed your boyfriend (meanwhile, your friends keeping evil at bay at home)...Or trying to take on the vamps yourself because your best friend the Slayer is dead (all the while researching a plan to resurrect her)...Or getting rehabilitated in England with the Watcher who you had previously tried to kill....

Yeah, pretty quiet summers. 😉
