I've always said, and I have made those closest to me promise to stick to it, that I want 'Brightside of Life' from Monty Python played as the last song playing before my body is cremated.

I just think its an absolutely appropriate song for me and will hopefully lift the mood.

I'm also insisting that no one wears black!



A few years ago, when my finance died, at her request, I sang 'Seasons in the Sun' by Terry Jacks.

"Seasons in the Sun" seems like a really sweet song choice. I don't know it just seems like a fitting song to celebrate a life rather than mourn its passing.
Well I'm gonna be cremated...in true Buddhist style, plus the idea of rotting in a coffin is kinda ewwy to me, even if I am dead.

Songwise...I don't know... I used to joke that I'd want Bring me to Life by Evanescence (although, that's really not that funny) or Alive by Pearl Jam. But if I had to pick right now....hmmmm right this very second I'd go with He Parts the Clouds by Maybeshewill....it's just a gorgeous piece of music.
