As a Star Trek fan,i was just watching a few episodes of Star Trek:Enterprise and it got me thinking that even though the series of Enterprise won't continue (finished a while ago) that maybe a new Star Trek show could, but what the plot would be is beyond me as most of it has been done lol, still think that there is a lot to be had though.

(P.S, if there are any Star Trek fans, please shout out for a discussion! lol)

But,to the question, what shows would you like to see either re-made or continued?

On which bit? lol

Star Trek? No,i love it. Been watching it since i was about 7.

Well, this is a bit of a tough ones. There are shows I loved, like Smallville and Las Vegas, that ended. I wasn't really happy with the way they ended, but there were so many positive aspects to the show and they both felt complete after long runs that I was on the whole satisfied with how everything went. Then there are shows I loved like LOST, which had a fantastic run, didn't overstay it's welcome and wrapped things up beautifully (I know some LOST fans will disagree with me, but I was perfectly content with the ending). As much as I loved that show, I don't think I'd want more of it. The same with the Batman movie trilogy. You'll be hard-pressed to find a bigger Batman fan than me, but it had such an awesome ending that it feels complete. I don't need anymore, you know?

So, giving it some thought here, it's actually harder than I thought it would be to find a series that I'm dying for more of. The only two that really spring to mind are Buffy and Angel. Both had amazing finales that I loved, and if they never make another episode or movie of either series, that's fine. They both ended great. But at the same time, they both had, to a certain extent anyways, open-ended...uh...endings, which left the possibility of more. LOST or Smallville didn't do that.

You know what I'd love? A Buffy movie. A real, Joss Whedon directed and written movie with all the stars from the original series. Another Buffy or Angel season would be fantastic, but considering how much I loved the respective wrap-ups to each series, I'm more than fine with the way they ended. But I'd love a movie so much. I know it'd be tough (explaining Illyria would take some doing), but I think they could do an awesome movie with the Buffy cast and just Angel and Spike from the spinoff (they're all you really need anyways, and well, most of the rest of the Angel cast is dead).

A Buffy movie, where they finally have that Bangel ending I've always wanted (even though "Chosen" was pretty good)? That would be just fine with me.

It would be great if they came up with a movie. Can't see it happening with the original cast from Buffy and Angel, have a feeling someone will try it with a whole new cast.

i'd like a buffy movie from joss too.
First, in answer to your question, some of the shows that I would have liked to see continue, other than Whedon's three, of course, are, in no particular order:

1) Human Target
2) The Dresden Files
3) New Amsterdam
4) Moonlight
5) Terra Nova
6) Birds Of Prey
7) Highlander
8) Star Trek: Enterprise
and an old one probably no one remembers
9) Tarzan (the one with Ron Ely in the title role)

Now, as pertains to the Star Trek franchise:

As much as I loved the ship (plus I had a cousin who served on the real "Enterprise," so that made the series a bit more special for me) a new series wouldn't necessarily HAVE to involve her. Star Fleet has hundreds, if not thousands, of other vessels, each of which would have its own unique crew and story, in whichever time line they would prefer to locate it. With "Star Trek," not even the sky is the limit. With good actors, writers, and directors, there's no reason whatsoever why there couldn't be one or more new series.

And as for "Star Trek" itself, I've been a fan from the very beginning. I was there when the original series began, when "Trek" magazine was the predecessor of what now proliferates the internet as fan fiction. I saw Shatner, and got his autograph, when he did a one man show in Atlanta and released the first rumors that Roddenberry was working on the script for the first "Star Trek" movie.

@whiteavenger

Nice one.

I've seen most of the original series, seen all of The Next Generation & Voyager. Wasn't as keen on Deep Space 9 (had it's moments). An idea that a few have gone with for a new series (if it happens) is the son/daughter/relative etc of one of the old captains (Picard was the favourite). And then going on from there. Pretty much what they have done with the new movies with the young Captain Kirk. Obviously they would have to be a bit older, but the idea is there. There's still a good opportunity for cameo roles for Patrick Stewart,Brent Spiner, Jonathan Frakes (and others from Voyager etc).

Even though there are plenty of other ships to go with and i wouldn't mind that idea, i don't think as many would catch on to it to be honest. The word Enterprise draws in a crowd on it's own.

Well, lately I've been rewatching Dawson's Creek, and there's a ship involved that don't end up together, so I would love a continuation so they can end up together. 😛

Just remember, brudda, the name of the series is "Dawson's Creek"...NOT "Pacey's Creek". :p
I'd like to see the following shows continue:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Firefly
Dollhouse

Be it an extra season, a(nother) feature film or some kind of spin-off.

I'll come back to this. Just a short reply.

other than Whedon's three, of course
Firefly, Dollhouse and the third one being Buffy since you're not a fan of the character Angel? 😉 My three Whedon shows would be Firefly, Dollhouse and Angel.

At least in my dreams. In reality it wouldn't work.

Studio 60 on the sunset strip, Freak and geeks, My so-called life and more deserved at least one more season. Season 4 of Veronica Mars would have been fun. Or if they ever do the movie that's been talked about.

My mistake. That SHOULD have read "other than Whedon's FOUR,of course." A actually like Angel when he's not obsessing over Spike's girl, Buffy.
Dollhouse and Firefly for sure. I think Buffy and Angel had a good enough ending (though I wouldn't be closed to a possible coming back😉)

Roswell. I think the end was kinda crappy...
Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I'd love to see her life with Harvey.
Veronica Mars. The FBI thing would have been awesome (had it included Logan, of course)

I can't think of others right now.

Tru Calling needs to be continued like right now. Even if it was just in book form. The way it just dropped off in the middle of the story irks me constantly.

Other then buffy i would have to choose The x files, i know it did a lot of seasons but i wasn't that impressed with the last season or the i want to believe movie.
There were rumours a new script for a movie was being written but something has yet to surface and im beginning to doubt anything will.

Love the X-Files. My main disappointed was that it started to lean away from actual UFO cases as such and it was more brought onto Government Conspiracy.
For me, it would have to be:
No Ordinary Family (Julie Benz!)
Samantha Who?
Firefly
Pushing Daisies
Jericho

And I know it's never been made but I need a Ripper series, damn it! Rewatching BtVS these days and I find myself needing more Giles!

Angel
Tru Calling
Firefly
Sabrina The Teenage Witch (I wish we could see Sabrina having a family with Harvey)
Saved By The Bell (I wanna see Kelly and Zack after being married)
Kenan and Kel
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Oringal 5)
Friends! I really want Friends back 🙁
The Inbetweeners
Ringer

Hehe, Kenan and Kel! I use to love that :)

I loved the original Power Rangers! I always wanted to be Trini, the Yellow one.
Firefly is the big one.

But also Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Stargate Universe.

There was also this show called Surface that aired a few years ago that I think had potential but got cancelled very early.

Think those are the major ones.
Others would be. Dark Angel, Dollhouse, Freaks and Geaks and the rest I can't think of right now.

/SK

Oh where should I start?

FlashForward
No Ordinary Family
Harry's Law
Ringer
Alcatraz
Brothers and Sisters
GCB
CSI Miami
- I will miss my beloved Calleigh... *cry*

There may be more...

I would have been pretty happy if Buffy never ended but here are some shows I thought ended way too soon:
Angel (easily another 2 or 3 seasons)
Firefly (multiple full length seasons were needed!)
Deadwood (a crime this show was cancelled after 3 seasons)
Arrested Developement (I still don't understand why this was cancelled!)

Buffy (maybe, we don't know if it would have gotten better or worse)
Firefly
La Femme Nikita (The original, not the remake). 5 seasons wasn't enough, and the 5th was joke anyway: 8 extremely rushed episodes? That's not a season!
