in the ep where angel first gets to pylea cordy is being tested for the visions, what exactly did they do to her? did they explain it and i drifted off? they seem to have put pokers near her eyes but her eyes were fine.

They didn't explain it very well... they didn't really explain it at all... Cordelia was just screaming and a few scenes later, she's the princess.
