What the heck is this font called?!

Ever since FOX used this font in its Point Pleasant commercials I've been wanting to know what it was called. If someone knows, please please let me know. I've hunted on the net EVERYWHERE.

And if anyone happened to know what font is used for the actual credits on the show, I would appreciate that info too.

BTW, posting here was sort of a last resort, I've asked around for ages and tried to figure it out.

It's probably called Point Pleasant. You might want to try and search around various font sites with that name.

If you've done that before, I'm just stupid. I've seen fonts that look like that a little but not exactly, so I would assume it's an original and not some font some promotions person liked and slapped all over the posters and stuff.

Well yep I've tried it. It's not a special font, it's an already-existing font because I've seen it before on a couple of labels and stuff...plus I saw it on a banner at this board, but I PMed the person and they never answered...I think they're an inactive member now.

I used to have this font or one that was pretty damn close, as when Point Pleasant first aired I did some artwork & needed to find the font myself, but for love nor money can I remember what it's called, and I don't have it in my font folder anymore either, as it was on an old hard drive of mine that fried on me. I've been trying to think since you posted this what it was called, but still can't, however I am pretty sure I found it on DaFont...

I'll keep looking though & let you know if I find it, or remember the name of it. 🙂

Ok, I've just gone through every font in my font folder & I actually think it was this font that I used, Envision Roman, which is pretty close to the font used in Point Pleasant. I didn't think I still had it, but I'm certain I used this font as this was as close a match as I could find.
