It was the first time I watched Chosen. I was shaking with fear and sadness the whole way through. When it got to the scene with the Core Four in the school hallway i was almost hyperventilating and gasping, and when Buffy, Willow and Xander walked off, and Giles turned towards the camera and said "The Earth is definitely doomed" I actually had to pause it (it was vcd 😉) so i could gasp and hyperventilate. I couldn't believe how far I had come with these characters, how well I knew them, how much I loved them and how proud I was of everything they had done, and that they were still together. That is the most recent memory of Btvs touching me deeply, but there are lots of others.
e.g. the raw, unweeping, painful grief of The Body, that left me shivering and stunned.
the sobbing that followed the conclusion of The Gift or Becoming Part 2.
Tara and Willow dancing/floating at the end of Family, or Tara singing to Willow in OMWF- both beautiful beyond words.
There are so many more.
I just noticed this was meant to be in one sentence! Ooops!
