In my case, anything that doesn't bore the crap out of me.

It cuts across all styles, and tends to be more song-based than band-based. AC/DC will always get me in a pumped-up mood.

(My YouTube profile will give you a better idea of the type of stuff I listen to.)

Everything basically

At the minute my two favourite artists are Kings of Leon and P!nk...their latest albums are pretty much playing non stop on my iPod. I tend to be mostly into rap, hip/hop, rock and folk. Basically if it pleases me ears I'll like it.

I love gothic rock, dark ambient, ultimately The Doors & David Bowie, some blues, even jazz sometimes, folk: Asian and Irish (Celtic), bands like from New Model Army, Noir Desir to Dashboard Prophets, Nickel, Cibo Matto, some progressive, psychodelic rock, ethereal, or bands like Dresden Dolls, Birthday Massacre.
New age as in Mike Oldfield or Oliver Shanti.

some damned fine bands in there!
Don´t link, don´t link, don´t link, don´t link, don´t link!!!!

Nightwish, Within temptation, Point of grace, Metallica, Shainia Twain, Cardigans, Depeche Mode, Lil Kim, Dream theater, Beyonce/Destiny´s child, Abba, Queen, Eskimo Joe and an old swedish band called Gyllene Tider (with the male singer from Roxette if anyone remembers them?). And I listen to soundtracks and classical as well. Going nostalgic with 80´s music happens a lot too. But my computercollection contains everything from Weird Al Yankovic through West life, Eminem and Rammstein to Paul Potts. And listening to a bit of opera with a cold beer on a warm summer night is great. You all should try it. 😉

You and me would have so much fun listening to records together:)
Mostly I listen to classic rock. The 70's was great with band like AC/DC, Slade, Status Quo, Nazareth, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin etc.
Give me a good sounding guitar and I will probably think it's okay at least.

Can also like some Blues (Johnny Winter, Muddy Waters) and even some Country (Kris Kristofferson)

It's completely free and quite awsome. Here's my profile if you're interested to see what it can look like.
