What was Angelus doing to Giles?

^ yes or... he could have been slowly burning all irreplaceable ancient texts owned by giles!

No really, he would probably breaking his fingers, then cutting them and dunking them in salt. Or maybe he ripped off his fingernails...

Now im going to rewatch season 2 and see if theres a continuation of his injuries...

There's a scene in "Angel" Season 4 where Angelus is in a room sitting on a chair by a fireside, reading something. He's trying to get information out of this terrified-looking guy in a suit at the time and just bends down and crunches one of his balls. We know this because he actually says "There's still the other one" or something sinister to that effect. That's the kind of perverted sicko Angelus is. He goes for his victims' weakest point, both physically and mentally. Most likely he was doing the same to Giles. His use of sexual torture is highlighted at another point in "Angel" Season 4 when, locked in the cell in the hotel HQ of Angel Investigation, he says something monstrous about intending to rape one of the female leads to death. Even by vampire standards, Angelus is truly vile (hence his reputation). So you should always expect the very worst from him.

Sorry, Angelus was forcing Giles to watch a video of Angel dancing and every time that Giles sniggered Angelus put the red hot poker closer to Giles's back bone halfway between the Sacro-Illiac and the fourth vertebrae.
[ It was because of Angel's dancing technique that Giles was gritting his teeth. ]

Shadow Weaver, I always thought it was because of the magic store's owner's leg being buggered that Angelus said don't worry you've got another one.

Im gonna have to go with castration.

No. We know it wasn't that. Giles functioned well enough to be bed buddies with Olivia later, so whatever Angelus did, we know it had no lasting effects in that department.

I agree with those who said it had something to do with Giles' fingers.

I always thought he was using those things that you poke people with in different places. That didn't sound any better did it. Darn! I dunno what they are called but they have different sizes and you stick em in a persons body...ok forge it, I am going to stop right now. I know what I mean but it's just not right people, lol.

Ewww. Now I'm thinking of those horrible needles in Witchfinder General. Ick. Ick. Ick.

Yeah, yeah, like needles, more or less along the lines I was thinking. Thank you! I have seen that so many times. It's really freaky isn't it? But I like it...as long as it's happening to the bad guy of course.

Plyers for pressure work, needles of various gauge and length for peircing work, matches/zippo for burning. All easily available to Vampires and inflict a lot of pain without much physically damage meaning it can be drawn out for a long time, seems the sort of thing Angelus would do.

But it never does happen to the bad guys, unfortunately. Giles wasn't the bad guy. And neither were that poor girl and her dad in Witchfinder General. Gosh, they were just nice people, minding their own business and looking forward to the daughter marrying that soldier when bam! Vincent Price (in, like, his best role ever) ruins everything.

Actually, a lot of things in that movie remind me of the Buffyverse. The ending - with that axe - reminds me of all of the times that Xander wanted to do that to Spike but never got the chance.

Well I have seen movies or tv shows where they do it to the good guy but then they get it back later on. It's all gravy goodness.

With a song in his 'heart', or maybe that was just a threat and he was going to bring out the big guns and sing Mandy to Giles !
