Does anyone know what was in the box that Spike & Xander went to Doc's house for. Spike said it was "worth dying for"...but what was it??? Ive never been able to figure that one out

It was the scrolls that Giles went over that told all the different ways to access the Key's powers whatever form it was in. That's how Doc himself knew to cut Dawn while Buffy was beating up Glory.

My question is why lizard dude had them in the first place?

When I saw this episode for the very first time, I thought throwing the box in the fire was a diversionary tactic. Like, the information they really wanted was still on the table, but he through them off by tossing the box in the fire instead. But maybe that was just me.

The box contained materials that were crucial to defeating Glory. But of course, Doc working for Glory couldn't have them snooping around. My question is: Why did Doc help them with the dragon eggs so willingly? I'm assuming it was because he thought they wouldn't make it out alive. - At the same time..This was Dawn. She needed to be alive for the ritual. It's all so confusing to me. Haha.
