What was joyce in season 7???

hiya i was just wunderin what was joyce in season 7?? :😛?::
I know she said to Dawn in 'conversations with dead people' that in the end buffy wouldn't choose her, but i found the whol thing kinda confusing She appeared more than once and buffy thought she was the first! was she??? ::noangel:

I think Joss stated once that she was the First, but IMO she was Joyce coming there to warn Dawn.

Yeah, i always got the impression that Joyce was a manifestation of The First coming back to give Dawn a message.

That whole episode was fantastic and very eerie imo.

If you think about it, who/what ever it was, it was right.
I mean, Buffy sent Dawn away, thats like not choosing her right?
Or, am I just...insane?

And in the end, Dawn survived the First anyway, so Buffy sending her away turned out to be unnescessairy anyway.

I think it was teh first that came to her. I really wish that would have been explained though. And i guess you could consider Buffy sending her away to be what "Joyce" meant, but i didn't really think that was what it was supposed to be. I wanted that to be explained better, but I guess there was no time.
