What Was The First Film You Remember Seeing At The Cinema?

The first film I went to see at the cinema was The Jungle Book, I can still remember running out of the cinema crying because I was scared of Shere Khan x

Mine was Lion King. I went to see it with my dad. I still love it. One of the best Disney films!

Disney's Song of the South re-release in Pittsburgh - way, way back when.

I loved that movie when I was a kid! I didn't know until just last year when i tried to buy a copy for my granddaughter that Disney Studios had made the statement that it would never be released on either video tape or dvd because of its "political incorrectness." All that Remembered was a kind old man telling a bunch of children stories, much like my grandmother told me and all of my cousins.

Hmmm.
Well, I've never been one for "political correctness" (what a bland murderous language and attitude), perhaps Disney is to blame.
Yes, that's it. Disney made me a bad man! I should sue for corrupting my youth.

Then again those were the days when a smoke was a smoke and groovin' was groovin'.

My mum told me the first film I was taken to was Beauty and the Beast... not that I remember .. the earliest film I can remember seeing though was Space Jam.

Well, the earliest that I actually remember is Muppets From Space. It definitely wasn't the first movie I ever went to, and I think I was around seven or so, but it's the only one I remember clearly. I cried so hard when I saw it!

My sister took me to "Lady and the Tramp" when it first came out. You know the disney classic about the rich dog/ poor dog and the Italian food. (Details ment to clarify; seems there is another 'version' and sometimes I get weird looks when I explain this was the first movie I ever saw.)

The second one was Empire Strikes Back.

After that I forget, but I think it was either ET or Return of the Jedi.

When it was re-released, actually; L&tT was first released in 1955. I remember seeing it at the theater in 1964, but I don't know if that was a general re-release.
It was that Mr. Bean movie, when I was 7 years old. The next time after that I was already 11. You can see my parents tried to keep me away from media influence 😛

but they gave in for Mr. Bean? LOL! why'd they not want you to watch the wonderful disney films we all seem to have seen first?

Yeah, that was probably meant to discorage her! Seems like it worked for 4 years too!
My first movie was when they rereleased Bambie at the theater when I was about 3 years old. I sat so still I had a crick in my neck by the end of the movie.

first film I remember seeing in the theatre?
