Question What was the point of having Billy freed, for Skip and Jasmine?

Skip said that he took a "dive" for Angel so that Billy could be taken out of that box of fire. Basically, part of his job, to be "beaten" by Angel so that Billy could be freed.

Now, what would the point of that be for Jasmine? It was a part of her plan, sure, but why free Billy? Billy was a client of W&H and Billy didn't do anything major except mess with a few women. What's that got to do with Jasmine's grand plan?

I always took it as more of a 'he took a dive' by not killing Angel situation. Skip obviously had to let Angel win, and not kill him, in order for Jasmine's plan to work. Billy himself I don't think was the point, although maybe it's a butterfly effect situation
