What was your favorite episode of S5

Which do you think is the best episode of S5?

I of course picked "Shells"

I loved seeing Illyria for the first time. She developed into my favorite character in the whole Buffy/Angel universe.

I think that the episode can really help people deal with the things around them. Illyria was faced with having her army MIA, and had to figure out what her next course of action would be. She needed to discover that in order for her to survive in this world, she needed to learn.

I think that it has a very powerful lesson for everyone watching.
 
Would have to say 'You're Welcome', but that's just cos I'm a Cangel shipper.

Second would come Power Play, cos there was a massive range of emotions in that episode. I also think of it as the finale of Angel, cos I was on holiday when the finale aired 🙁
 
It was extremely hard for me to pick just one. There were just so many good ones. Charisma's ultimely comeback in You're Welcome, Spike and Angel's beatdown in Destiny, Illyria's breakdown in Time Bomb, and of course Wesley's death in Not Fade Away. But I had to go with Shells on this one. It was the only episode of Angel that made me cry as much as I did. I don't have a problem saying it, either. Shells made me cry like the biggest man-baby you'll ever lay eyes on. That final scene with Fred driving off to LA was probably the biggest tear-jerker for both shows.
 
my fave ep has to be damaged! we never had the possiblity of a psycho slayer before and i thought it was an interesting concept.
plus, andrew! can't go wrong there!

I have (as have a lot of others) chosen 'Youre Welcome'. This is a beautiful episode with a magical ending. In a season that badly missed Cordelia's character, this was a true gem in Season five.
 
Ah, I couldn't decide... I love this season, and there are many oh so great episodes.This is a very special and great season and there's just no way for me to pick an episode...
 
My favorite was Destiny. Best fight scene in both scene. The choreography was awesome and the story was great. We finally got to seen what was the reason between Angel and Spike's rivaly.
 
I had to go with Smile Time. I laughed from start to finish. I hated the way the show ended. You never really know what happens to them. I hate to be left hanging like that.
 
My favorite season 5 episode is definetly You're Welcome.It had a lot of great moments.I really liked the scene with Cordelia and Spike arguing over who's soul is better.I always thought they were so good together ever since I saw them in the season 1 episode In the Dark.I also loved how Cordy helped Angel in his fight with Lindsey.The best scene is when Cordy gives her good bye speech to Angel and then he answers the phone to find out she died.I get teary eyed evrytime i see that scene.I liked season 5 but it would've been a lot better if Cordy had been a part of it.The show wasn't the same without her.

I really loved Destiny, too. I mean, we've seen Angel fight, and we've seen Spike fight....but it just seemed like we were watching two powerful demons fight to the death. It was kind of....hot....in a way!

It was really hard for me to choose ONE. Like i really liked Lineage, that was done so well. i mean Wesley was willing to kill the man he thought was his father to protect Fred. and i think thats when she realized and started to shift more towards Wes than that stupid Knox.

Then there was obviously You're Welcome. it was wonderful to see cordy back, and to pay homage to both Doyle, and the late great Glenn Quinn.

But then just when things start going good, Fred dies, in Whole in the World, and when she first died i hated Illiryia but by Not Fade Away, she was kinda ok.
and i really love some of the moments Wesley gets in season five, especially with the guns. "Jennifer, please send anyone else who isn't working Ms. Burkel's case to me!"
and when he killed Knox. they were wonderful moments. i especially loved the way Fred and Wes, in a twisted sort of way, got to die in each others arms.

and when Connor finally realized that his dad does love him and did everything for him. that was a spectacular moment. and i think thats why i voted for origin. because, at this point, as much as i hate to say it, but buffy was no longer the love of angels life anymore. it was his son, and it was heartbreaking the way his son treated him. and thought that he hated him. and finally Connor recongnized that he was happy. and that his dad loved him more than anything, and it was just really touching.

I agree with everything.Especially the Connor/Angel thing.
I voted for smile time.. ANGEl is the cutest puppet :thumbsup: GO ANGEL .. and i love spikes quote wen he sees angel as a puppet for the first time "you're a bloody puppet!" lmao
 
I voted Not Fade away cause it had so many great moments, but it was quite close between that and You're Welcome. I love the Lindsey fight so much, he's my second favourite character next to Illyria. The Doyle scene was touching too.

But the scale of NFA just tipped it, seeing Wolfram & Hart collapse was cool. The Angel fight was good, if not his best. Shame there was no decent action for Spike or Illyria, but at last this one had Illyria in it. Gun scene was great but they should have shown more and made it like the final River scene in Serenity (obviously not quite as cool). Last 5 minutes are legendary, an amazing end to the series.

3rd fave ep is Destiny. LOVE that fight scene, just about my favourite in all of Buffy/Angel. I think it was good that Spike won, not often that a shows main character loses a fight like.

Mine, too. After the long history between those two characters, everything just seems to come to a head in Destiny. They were both battling for so much there......and Angel was right, Spike wanted it more.
 
Your Welcome, Smile Time, Orgin, and Not Fade Away. Your Welcome was great because Cordy came back. I missed her upbeat and happy persona. Orgin because Conner didn't act like such a butt that he can be. Smile Time was just plain funny. Not Fade Away was just great because of the acting.
 
I chose the series finale for the Wesley/pseduo-Fred death scene. Next fav would be the one where Wesley shot his dad, even though it wasn't really his dad.
 
Gah! This was hard, because I really, really liked season five. It's my favorite of all Angel seasons.

I voted for The Girl in Question because I really couldn't pick one. I like this particlar episode because I think that Angel and Spike are just hilarious in the ep.
