What was your Favorite Season Overall?

First of all.. I'm sure you've all been through this poll about a hundred times and for that I'm sorry. I honestly just kind of want to see what BB thinks as a whole.

This is poll asking about your favorite seasons, not best. Quality is a completely different question. I allowed multiple votes so please vote once for Angel, once for Buffy. And hell, if you can't narrow down to one, go ahead and vote for two.

My favorite is Season 8 and After the Fall I think. I know, it seems pretty lame, but really, I'm a new fan. I had started watching past Buffy episodes but Season 8 is what got me hooked. S8 and AtF also got me into comics. I would've never have even given comics a chance if it wasn't for Buffy.

They are all pretty much equal as far as a quality television series goes, but if I had to narrow it down further than absolute favorite it'd be:

Angel
2. Season 5

4. Season 3
5. Season 4
Haven't read Angel & Faith yet and Season 9 is still due for a refresher on my entire re-run.

With Buffy, Season 2 and 3 are without a doubt my favorites, so the vote goes to them.

Angel-wise, Season 1 was my favorite, with 2 being really good as well

S6 lota stuff going on but the Dark Willow trilogy is my fav Seeing Red-Grave are just so good IMO

What Willow goes though how she feeling at the time its very good to me

Buffy season 2 is my favorite, and I re-watch it more than any other season.

Buffy Season 3 for sure. I like the way that it rounds off everything from the first two seasons, and it has Mayor Wilkins and Faith too 😀

I voted for Season 3 and 5 for BTVS.

I think season 3 is like the definition of the show. To me it will always be about the high school student who fights monsters, It's beats out season 2 for me because I felt like they developed the monster of the week things into a really stable setting by season 3, the season had a very natural flow to it.

Season 5, as HisMrs said, just has all these awesome characters really developing over the year. Plus it has some great episodes, and again I think the season flowed together very nicely.

I voted for season 3 of Angel, but I'm think I should have said 2 and 3, I actually have a hard time separating those two seasons in my mind.

I think it's really interesting that you read the comics first then the series, and would rank the Comic above the series!

Angel season 4. Most dramatic, intense and exciting season in the Verse. Buffy S2, S3 and S5 weren't bad either. 😉

I voted Buffy Season 6 and Season 3. Season 6 is my all-time favorite season and that's pretty much all I have to say about it. Season 3 is awesome as well. I don't know, I just like it slightly better than the other seasons. Season 5 isn't far behind it though, but it has those stupid knights in it, which drag it down a some.
I have only watched Angel seasons 1 through 3 so far, and only once, so I can't really decide which one I liked best, but I think season 3 was the most gripping with Holtz and everything and the change of Angel and Wesley's relationship.

In Buffy it has to be Season 6 with Season 5 a close second and Season 3 just inches behind. They're all such good seasons!

In Angel it's easily S3 for me - such an exciting show all the way through and "Forgiving" has to be one of my favourite episodes of Angel ever. I enjoyed S2 and I think S4 could have been better than S3 if it just made more sense

Buffy Season 3 is my absolute favorite. So many classic episodes, plus it had Faith and The Mayor. I love everything about this season! 🙂

Buffy:
S2 because there is so much Bangel in there it's overwhelming! Nah seriously I just think that, out of the old school episodes, S2 has the best ones. And Angelus is my favorite villain.
S7 because it's the last one, because there are so many characters coming back (Spike, Giles, Angel, Andrew, Faith), because of Caleb, etc.

Angel:
S5 because Spike and Angel bickering all through the season will always make my day XD And there's Smile Time in it. And Illyria (although I loved Fred).

But I haven't read ATF and S8 kinda disgusted me of Buffy comics for a while... (so haven't red S9 yet)

For me, s6 of Buffy is a definite answer. For Angel I would need to rewatch it, but from my distant memory, I liked s2 and AtF the best!

I guess that I'd have to say season 3 on both. Main reason(s)? Faith and Fred. There are a lot more possible reasons, but my two favorite Buffyverse characters are reason enough.

Mine would be ATS season 3 and Buffy series season 5. Angel season 3 is utterly brilliant and always thrilling.
