A new mock-umentary film about Vampires from New Zealand What We Do In the Shadows is coming out - and it looks brilliant! I'm not sure how to describe NZ/Kiwi comedy, but this looks like classic Kiwi styles.

I think NZ comedy has it's own thing. Just like Australia & Britain have their own brand of comedy too. Or maybe I'm talking nonsense. I wouldn't rule that out...

Anyway, it's been doing really well at film festivals overseas, and reviews have been great. Opens in NZ on the 15th.

Kiwis definitely have their own style of humour, as do us Aussies. If you watch a few local shows you will figure it out. We are both good at awkward humour, much better than the US if you ask me!

Flight of the Conchords is a great example of kiwi humour (I believe). It's very awkward, very funny and quite different. Also helps if you like musical/comedy stuff.
