This is just collecting all we have discussed.

That's clearly not enough. I think we should close all Dario's threads and start new ones, to show we are starting again.
Storyline:
Now Digi. and Hostile_17 are no longer 'with us', so maybe we shouldn't use their ideas as they would consider it stealing or whatever. Not to say we should skip straight to my idea, but instead look for more ideas.

The 8th season of BtVS takes our heroes from the small town to the big city, as they relocate to the town of Ashtabula, Ohio, the site of a second Hellmouth, to resume their fight against evil and begin to build new lives in a world where Buffy and Faith are no longer unique. With discreet financial backing from Angel, Giles has established a headquarters for the new Watcher's Council and, with help from Willow, is busily scouring the globe in search of survivors of the old WC who are willing to help him rebuild the organization. Despite knowing that it is no longer an obligation for her, Buffy has continued to fulfill her duties as a Slayer, helping Faith and Wood to protect the people of Ashtabula from dark threats and to train those Slayers who chose to remain in Cleveland rather than leave to return to their families or travel the world. Dawn and Andrew have found themselves being called on to help Willow and Giles in their search for Watchers, and Xander has taken to helping out as well (fighting with Buffy, Faith, and Wood, training with younger Slayers, and doing research for Willow and Giles) while also searching for employment in the city and the surrounding area.
Hostile_17:
The way I see, Buffy, Dawn, Xander, and Willow lost their home, alot of the season should focus them on trying to find a new one of course that will take some exploring for them. In the season premiere they are not going to stop Butt-Lake Ohio and say "Oh, I think we'll call this place home for the next couple of years". I mean yeah, a place to settle should be found sokmetime in the season, but I don't think them exploring for a while deviates at all from Joss's structure. Maybe making every episode stand alone and having no big bad or story arch that probably is dviating away from the original structure. But I don't think having the gang on the road for a little while does. And they never went away from Sunnydale because they always had a homebase, now they don't. Anyways, that's my rant.
AshSan:
I think Buffy, Dawn, Xander, Willow, Giles, Kennedy and maybe Andrew should all move to somewhere in the UK for now. Maybe London, or somewhere like Bath. Giles could have a house there and a friend who used to work for the Watchers Council (so not blown up) could offer Buffy, Dawn, Xander, Willow and Kennedy a chance to rent a house he owns. That way the gang have somewhere to live, Giles will know the surroundings and it will keep with Buffy apparently living in Europe.
Im not sure about the whole "new Hellmouth" thing, it's a bit cliché as so to speak. Maybe there could just be a lot of evil around, like L.A. or maybe they can just continue with their lives and happen to interact with evil. Willow could start using her magic for more good, and sort of "help the helpless" or even set up her own magic group. If she does go down the magic path she could meet up with the coven mentioned a few times in S7. Xander, could maybe try and get a job at a construction site, but with being one-eyed finding it hard and maybe doing temp jobs. Maybe Buffy could go off for two episodes to see her Dad in Spain (that's where he is isn't he?)
Others:
I think a chatroom should be made to use as "idea tennis". We could arrange it so most of the staff can meet up at the same time (tough I know).
I was reading in a scripwriters guide the author was teacher a class and coming up with a character for a film with them. It could work in the same way with storylines etc. Anyway he would set a topic, such as "name" and the class would just call out names, he would then pick one and see if the majority of class agree on it. Then they would do other stuff and soon the class would argue, discuss and decide on things. It's a good way to get the staff to discuss things and it would help bring up a lot of ideas. It could be transcripted and posted on the forum if staff couldn't make the chat.
I would be willing to write up a script format, as I have just finished reading a book by the well respected Syd Field on scriptwriting.
General Episode Creation (my idea):
Staff come up with idea
\/
Production team perfect it
\/
Writer(s) write the episode
\/
Production team and editors read through and suggest changes in a feedback thread
\/
Writers make changes. Show all staff
\/
Suggestions made on improvements etc.
That way everyone can see it and such, and we can all introduce jokes, pop culture references etc to make it more effective.
Faith has okayed the idea tennis, the episode creation guide and the script layout thing. I will type one up soon, and will type up one written by Syd Field. Also I'll find some more off the web.
