The other day, i was watching one of my favorite episodes, "The Yoko Factor", when my friend came over. Now my friend isn't into Buffy at all, but she sat down to watch with me as it was near the end of the ep. (My fave part, so funny).

Anyway, it went to the scene in Giles' appartment and she exclaimed "oh my god! Look at his sweater!" (Xander's).

I'd never really noticed how goofy and utterly hilarious that sweater was, despite numerous viewings of the show, to me, it was just Xander. But when my friend flipped like that, we both burst out laughing 😛 , i almost peed. I guess you had to be there, but i just made me love Buffy even more.

Thought that i would share this with every one.

Yeah Kindred - even someone me, the artist formerly known as Dorky White Poster Child, has noticed Xanders impressive doofiness. He doesn't quite have the quirky/appaling style that Willow has sometimes (remember that fuzzy orange ski hat?) but he has his moments. Makes me laugh.

It's funny - if you've seen the original unaired pilot (with some very not-Alyson Hanniganish girl playing Willow) Xander was originally much cooler. More grungy skate punk. Long sleeve t-shirts with another t-shirt over it, unbuttoned flannels, that kinda thing. But you're totally right - Xander and Willow's goofy outfits are yet another reason to love Buffy. (In case any of us needed another reason) 🙂
