What's everyone putting on their lists this year? What will you be giving to your friends and family over the Christmas period? I'm hoping to get my boyfriend a super car driving day and a new coat. Not sure about my other family members yet. Has anyone started/finished their Christmas shopping yet?

I thought this thread would also be good for ideas if you don't know what to get someone.
 
Just various Buffy/Angel/Charmed books and Seasons 2 & 3 of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I didn't ask for much.

A couple of my relatives and parents' friends will be coming over on X-Mas day for a party.

My main thing is a new custom Laptop, but it costs around £700, so i have a feeling i'll be buying that one after christmas lol.

I've put various things on. Star Trek box sets, books, a few dvd's and other little things. It's been pretty hard for me to think of things this year.

As for what I'm buying others i really have no idea. I have a few ideas on what to get my parents, but I'm still second guessing myself as to what to buy!

There's not much that I want this year... I am pregnant, so it's not like I need to get clothes, and anything else that I would want would be too expensive to ask family members to buy (like a new TV).

I've been going through an I-love-Anthony-Head stage lately so I'm hoping for Repo! The Genetic Opera, the Music for Elevators cd, and/ or a Giles action figure! Also, anything Game of Thrones related. 😀

I haven't done a lot of shopping yet for others but I've decided my boyfriend's gifts are going to be mostly bacon themed since I found a site that sells bacon flavoured everything (bacon coffee, bacon pancakes, bacon chocolate, etc) so that should be interesting, haha.
 
Abs main pressie this year is a pink ds. For her dad, the new Bond game. My bro and family are getting gift vouchers. My mates are getting everything from Dvds to nail varnish.

Me well I just say to people to see my wish list on amazon lol. Everything from a Faith figure to Leverage dvds.
 
Our two grandchildren will no doubt be getting tons of stuff but as for everyone else, I think that we'll be giving either cash or gift certificates, It's not so much that we don't really want to give people gifts as it is that everyone that we know has such specific taste that it's almost impossible to find something that they really want.

Also, my wife will bw making her traditional fig preserves for everyone. from the figs that grow in our back yatd.

Mostly money this year as I'm saving up for the course I'm doing next year. Also asked for the Firefly anniversary book and some clothes.

In terms of what I'm getting other people, I have no idea. Might get my parents some fancy wine but other than that I don't know.

In terms of gifts I'm something of a nightmare, I have no idea what I want I just tend to ask for stuff that's boring to buy yourself (like socks) but I do spend more or less the entire year planning what to get my friends and family, making mental notes and ordering stuff in advance 🙂

I love being imaginative with my gifts and somehow I have a hard time going "that's enough" because I love the sight of a lot of presents under the tree and I just keep finding perfect things for people.... it's a bit of a curse almost 😉

So I have more or less already finished my Christmas shopping (some stuff I make - like knitting a cardigan or something so that has to be started on early in the year 🙂). I'm speedy that way.

What to wish for myself this year I have no idea, I can't say there's anything I really need, but I'll probably end up writing down some book titles or something and I've made some wishes on my dog's behalf for some new toys 🙂

Me too; I'd rather buy the "perfect" gifts for my family than get anything myself. :)
I always keep a very long and specific list, so here it is:
-Gift card for Barnes & Nobles
-Gift card for Amazon or Chapters/Indigo
-Supernatural DVDs (S5 to S7)
-Pretty Little Liars DVD (S2)
-Dollhouse DVDs (S1 and S2) ------ men are those crazily pricey.....
-Vampire Diaries DVD (S3)
-Glee DVDs (S2 and S3)
-Marvel heroes phase 1: Avengers Assemble (complete pack) ------ that one I don't expect to get, though...
-Buffy cross pendant
-Buffy S8 volume 8 tradeback
-Anna Godbersen's "THe lux" last 2 books
-Pokemon White/Black ------ whichever they can get their hands on first

As for what I'll give, I'm still debating between a cineplex or a EBgames gift card for Simon and I found my mom the perfect gift: I'll pay her ticket to our annual theater night (it will be Les Belles-Soeurs in 2013) [and I'm giving her a pedicure gift-certificate for her birthday tomorrow]

I thought about giving a tie to my father, to remind him of those I gave him each Christmas when I was little. But since he didn't even bother to remember to call me yesterday, he's not getting anything...
 
The only thing two things on my list are a juicer (anyone here have any recommendations/tips) and a pair of glossy Hunter rain boots. Other than that I'd love gift cards to Kate Spade, Amazon, and Sephora.

I've done some of my Christmas shopping already. I'm really excited about the gift I got my mom, I found three beautiful vintage silk scarves a few months ago that I got her. I know she will love them. Hopefully I'll be able to finish up my Christmas shopping in the next week or two.

This sounds exactly like me. I love taking the time and effort into thinking about what a person likes to do/buy/wear etc and then buying them something special that I think they'll love. Xmas for me is more about giving to the people I love. Don't get me wrong I love a present but I get more excited about watching people open theirs.

The new Buffy book is really the only thing I want besides a few movies. Other than that, I usually get money which is nice because I should be getting my new car soon 😀
 
I already have mine.....but it wasn't through my own doing!

My folks knew I had been hanging on for the Kindle Fire HD to finally come out in the UK so they got me one. I got it early as i'm leaving for Worcester on Boxing Day before Orlando on the 29th so I have to get it booted up for the flight.

I always get a kitten calendar from my mum, have done for years. Usually I get stocking fillers of baking gifts like cookie cutters and the like.

As for others, i'm holding off for the majority of them to get in Orlando as I know a lot of my friends want things from Harry Potter World or Marvel and i'm picking my parents things while i'm there as well. I have a tradition of making Christmas flavoured vodka and doing all the Christmas dinner/desserts for the family as well. I have some books for my mum in mind and i'll be getting my Dad the Uno, Dos, Tre Green Day Boxset when that comes out. I suspect they may also end up with Dirty Dancing theatre tickets.

When I was younger i'm not ashamed to admit that I was always more concerned with what I was getting but now that i'm older I spend at least 3 months planning Christmas for my family and doing the whole day so my mum can relax. From the cooking to the cleaning and running about, I want to do it all for her given she did it all for me.

My brother, well i've still got his Christmas gift from last year as i've not seen him since last summer.

-Anna Godbersen's The Lux book 3

I wanted to buy TVD S3, PLL S2, Glee S3 and Nikita S1 and S2, but I despise(sp?) the prices they put on TV series when they just came out.... Why put it at $60-$70 when you're just gonna take it down to $20 in 3-4 months?

Oh and Simon doesn't want a Christmas gift since he can't buy me one (he's broke), so I'll cook him dinner and dessert whenever he comes to my house during the holiday vacations.
 
It would be nice to have some new pretty linens and towels (yes, I'm old 😀). Oh and a golden girls or parks and recreation box set!

I think I'm going to give my husband an ice cream maker! 😀 But I have nooooo idea what I'm going to get my brother in law! He's a 24 year old guy who plays ping pong on a elite level. That's pretty much all I know about him, haha. Any ideas? 🙂

I want the The Dark Knight Trilogy, but I'll probably get it myself first anyway... apart from that, maybe some books or something.
 
I've asked for a Kindle Fire HD from my boyfriend, I know he's bought me a nice handbag too. I'm going to ask for New Girl on boxset and I know I'm getting Magic Mike from my boyfriend's twin sister because she's terrible at keeping secrets. I don't know what to ask my mom for though to be honest. And I still have no idea what to get my boyfriend.
 
Hmm I dont really want anythiing for christmas, But i know im getting a few new box sets and dvds (because my mum told me not to get them for myself lol) bless her. so im excited for lots of new things to watch 🙂

A Zooka speaker for my ipad, the Universal Classic Monster Collection Blu Ray, and Call of Duty Black Ops for the Wii...and I won't get any of them lol
