What will she be like?

We have been told who will be the new Buffy, so what will she be like? Will she be her type of Buffy or will she be the old Buffy. Personally I'd like her to be herself, to give of herself in the role.
For the point of view of writing Fan-Fiction story's, when will we be given a taste on what type of Slayer will she be?

I would be interested to know what other members views are.
 
There was quite a distinction between Buffy in the movie and Buffy in the series, so maybe this will be a more distinct difference yet. Kristy Swanson did the best anyone could with the material she was given, SMG did a great job with all the material, even when the writers let the series down in the later seasons. Maybe the new Buffy could be a bit more intelligent and tech savvy and maybe a good student as well. And maybe a solid relationship could be a part of the new story. Every ship sinks in the Jossverse but now we may have writers who can see the benefits and write the stories where a good relationship can be maintained and maybe even the parents will be a bit more supportive.

You could write fan fiction right after the first episode, but it may not go in the same direction as the series because your idea of what is going on and the show's idea may begin to diverge somewhere. Fan fiction would be more in keeping with the characters as portrayed by the end of the first season.
 
Yeah, probably. i mean, the old stuff will probably be the fallback position until the writers and actors understand the character. Like, for my "callbacks," Faith is just Buffy, except she has the personality of a cat in heat and says Five By Five a lot. I didn't say I was a good writer.
 
Well I'm sure she's going to add a more modern twist to the character. I just hope they don't give her a "valley girl" persona. That would be majorly annoying.
I agree @Ethan Reigns that she should be a good student, smart and tech sharp. Have the alluded to whether she is going to have both of her parents in the picture, possibly a stable home life?

I know, like, really. 😀

Wasn't Movie Buffy a valley girl though, before she grew out of it because, like, vampires and stuff? 😀
 
So if according to famicommander her name will not be Buffy, what name will she be?
Plus she will have the added benefit of different scriptwriters and a different director.
