What will you miss about the pandemic lockdown?

I'm not really commenting until we're clearly out of the woods. The UK government seem to always find away to screw things up, so I'm not getting too carried away. Interesting that Shade has spent more during the pandemic. Most people have actually spent less.
Of course I have, I can't sit around watching tv or films all day that would drive me crazy, I need to be productive, so yes I've spend money on things to keep me occupied. Some spending was done on essential things like my car being serviced and getting a new vacuum cleaner, but most on Lego and jigsaws to keep me busy. During the first lockdown I did save money as I was out all the time dealing with the puppies and the lambs, but during the winter months I've been indoors more so have bought stuff to do.

I've spent more, too. It's easy to feel I deserve some indulgence when life is so crappy!

Hey don't knock TV and film watching its bloody hard work I can tell you...
, but during the winter months I've been indoors more so have bought stuff to do.

I was going to say that books are pretty inexpensive entertainment...but then started to consider my book bills and will retract that statement.

Also even I caved to pandemic boredom and have begun purchasing jigsaws.

I got loads of books free and we do pass those around too, but I haven't felt like reading either. I needed something to physically do rather than just sit. Okay I mostly just sit when doing the jigsaw but you know what I mean!

Yeah I know what you mean, which is why I’ve started on the jigsaws too! :)
Jigsaws are cool but I prefer banding saws
Jigsaws are fun until you break the blade!

Also not so fun when you get back the difficult one you bought your mother for Christmas, but I'll get it done at some point!

I did jigsaws all the way back a year ago when this whole thing first started, but it quickly got way too monotonous. I might get a few new ones soon, though, if things don't get better for a while. I still have the mat I bought, rolled up under my sofa table.

All the on-line things they been having since you cant go there in person .

Is it in good condition ?

I will miss the 'not having to socialise' and the pure silence. I quite enjoyed Lockdown, It was super peaceful and just chill for me! I am lucky because I am not alone and have a healthy immune system so I feel sorry for the people that don't. I feel like Lockdown is our new normal and now we are going back to our old normal it feels funny!

I will miss going to the zero waste stall and getting free food, I'll have to actually pay for bread again!

To wear a mask. It helps me feel better in social interactions as I'm socially anxious towards people, it can relaxes me, makes me feel more free and it also helps to hide skin problems (I have acne). The chin is a zone where Acne can really be seen since I was 10 & well it never stopped.

I am beginning to like the lack of empty, routine handshakes.
You know what feemale, I had forgotten all about them! I can't believe it. I'd be shaking dozen of hands a week and now I totally forgot every doing it. Yes, I will miss wearing masks and not shaking hands. Both of which I lamented that I had to stop doing when I had to stop doing them.

We don't wear masks enough that I will miss it, but I have gotten used to it and no longer find them as much of a hassle. And there are quite a few cool ones out there. The meaningless handshakes, though ... I really don't want them back. Lately, I have noticed that the lack of touch has given me some instances of far more meaningful eye contact. I want to keep that.

Would think with your weather they would all be cool, unless they have a little heater built in or summin.

With jokes that dry, I should have you babysit my youngest. You'd get along famously. Today he asked me: "How do you get a dry joke?" Answer: "You give it a tumble in the dryer."
I will be so glad when it is all over, but there are loads of things I have enjoyed about lockdown mainly to do with working from home

Getting up at 7.50 to start work at 8.00
Being able to tell colleagues there is no need for another unnecessary meeting, I can just email you the details
Working in the back garden with a glass of wine when the weather is nice
Having time to exercise
Not wasting as much money so I actually have more savings
Only talking to people I actually want to talk to

In SOUTH CAROLINA we haven’t been “locked down” since August. So... I’ll miss, being locked down. Like having time to binge Murder documentaries. I love true crime documentaries. And I watched a LOT of true crime on lockdown. And i miss that.

I'll miss the sense of "aloneness." I'm not exactly antisocial, but its SO nice seeing fewer people out and about. I've really, really enjoyed it. I don't WANT things to reopen and go back to "normal."
This pandemic has been a godsend for loners.
