What Would Cordelia Say?

So, this question has kept me pondering for a few hours now.

Say that our lovely bitchy Higher Being Ms. Cordelia Chase came down to Sunnydale (or wherever the hell the Scoobies are at the time) to revisit some old enemies friends.

What do you think the conversations would consist of? What would you WANT them to consist of?

The most important 'talk' would definitely be between Cordy and Buffy. They can relate to each other SO much, and while they're viewed sorta like Spike and Angel are (in competition for Angel's love), I think Buffy would be surprised at Cordy's maturity level, and Cordy would be surprised at many other events she MAY not know about (Spike/Buffy, Oz leaving/breaking up with Willow, Xander and Anya almost getting married, Joyce dying, Willow going Darth Vader on everyone's ass, etc.)

Thoughts?

I'd want her to give Angel and Buffy a good smack and then give them whatever help they needed.

I would also like to see her and Xander meet again. I'm sure it'd be great.

You're talking about what she would say now (2010)?

The big talk would be with Angel, I think she'd be devastated like we've never seen seeing Angel become the murderer of heroes and innocents. She'd surely remind him that Doyle, Wes, Fred, and herself gave their lives in Angel's fight, and he's betrayed them all becoming a worse mass murderer than Angelus & the Master combined.

I think her talk with Willow would be brief and friendly, maybe warning her about her future.

Cordy/Xander would be epically interesting since they went from being the two most immature core members to being the voices of reason amongst crazy people. I think she'd probably even be attracted to him having gone all tough guy (for him anyway) while retaining his sensitivity.

lol @ 'voices of reason amongst crazy people'. it's true.
Yeah, Xander/Cordy is also a good/big one. I, too, think they would be attracted to each other. 😛

And while they reunited in Season Five, I love all Cordelia/Harmony moments! 😛

I don't know if Xander would be attracted to Cordy, he has a thing for demons, don't know about Higher Powers 😀

Actually, demons have a thing for Xander, not the other way around. Xander always loved them human: Buffy, Cordelia, Willow, Faith, Anya as a human, Renee and Dawn.

On the other hand, he didn't care much about Ampata when she revealed her true self, or Anya as a demon, or Lissa when she showed her true colors, and he couldn't care less about Dracula (who was madly in love with him.)

First of all, I just wish BtVS and AtS would... just learn about eachother!! I feel like during the show and the comics, they completely ignore eachother. For example:
1. Angel had a friggin son, and Buffy (I assume) has no idea.
2. Willow might want to know about Fred's death. (And hello, Willow vs. Illyria anyone?)
3. Xander is no longer immature. He runs a legit military operation all by himself. I'd assume he really doesn't care whether Angel is a vampire or not anymore.
4. Spike! Buffy has no idea (I hope this is brought up in Issue 36) that he is alive until #35!
5. Cordelia is a higher being. As much as the Scoobies might dislike Cordy, they might be a little interested in why she is looking over them...
6. Gunn meeting Xander.
7. Wesley meeting Giles (and everyone else) This would be so epic! Now everyone can realize that Wesley has become a better and more intelligent person than Giles. No more assuming that Wesley is just some idiot Watcher dropout.
8. LA going to hell. Really? I know W&H put a glamour or something up, but I have trouble believing Buffy's slayer/witch brigade wouldn't notice something wrong there.

Ok, sorry about this, I was just venting I guess. But anyway, I guess I'm just sick of both shows/comics completely ignoring the existence of eachother.

But on the topic of Cordy. Just come on down girl! Preferably at the end of issue #36. That would be awesome!

The first thing that I would imagine Cordy doing would be kicking Angel's a** up around his shoulders for single handedly provoking the Senior Partners into sending LA to hell (yes, they WERE planning to do something like that EVENTUALLY, but it wasn't imminent. Angel should have had plenty of time to plan better and not get Wes killed)

The second thing that she would do would be to talk to Xander and tell him how sorry that she was about Anya dying and assure him that heroes have their own special heaven, where they can at last find peace and comfort, and that she will be there waiting for him when his time comes.

The third thing that she would do would be to kick Angel's a** up around his chin for the whole Twilight thing and assure HIM that broody self righteous vampires who cause take it upon themselves to cause more damage than the Senior Partners ever thought about doing in LA have their own special place, and it's hot, and it's dry, and it most certainly ISN'T heaven.

The fourth thing that she would do would be to talk to Buffy about letting a REAL man slip through her fingers just because she refuses to let go of a silly schoolgirl crush.

The fifth thing that she would do would be to kick Angel's a** up around his eyebrows just on general principals and assure him that if he didn't DRASTICALLY decide to get back to helping the helpless, which was his job, and quit trying to save the world, which he has neither the excuse, responsibility, ability, or intelligence to attempt, and leave the apocalypse averting to the professionals, who do it successfully on an annual basis WITHOUT sending cities to hell or the world into chaos, she was going to personally send him to his special place in very short order.

The sixth thing that she would do would be to transport Buffy and Faith off to a uninhabited desert island somewhere and tell them to get over their differences, learn to cooperate, and start working like the team that they were supposed to be, or they were going to die right there.

The seventh thing hat she would do would be to kick Angel's a** completely up over his head for naming a f**king DRAGON after her.

And, finally, she would give Spike a map showing the location to Buffy and Faith's desert island and tell him that he would know what to do when the proper time came.

Did I forget the part where she kicks Angel's a** severely, just because he's Angel and he deserves it so badly?

Riley?

(I don't think the way she acted about Spike was completely different than the way she acted about Angel but that's a rant for a different thread and I refuse to go into it here as this is about Cordelia.)

He accidentally named it after her. And she was fine and amused by it. (After the Fall, issue 12.)

I didn't name the REAL man specifically, because I just assumed that everyone knew that I was talking about Andrew.

And, no matter how amused that Cordy might have initially been, by the time that she realized that dragons are smelly, scaly, ugly, and have perpetual dragon breath, all of the amusement faded. Especially when she compared stinky Dragon Cordelia to beautiful Winged Horse Cordelia.

It's so obvious now. 🙂

Well again he didn't set out to name the dragon after her. And I quote (from AtF issue 12):

ANGEL: I jumped off a building. Not quite a skyscraper, but not a one-story. Bottom line is, even if I was a vampire, it was a rash move made in the heat of the moment. Snapped my spine, legs, a wrist. Wesley was there, but he couldn’t help. He tried, but, I don’t know if you’re aware, he’s living-impaired, so… the dragon found me. Scooped me up. He tried to be gentle, wound up dislocating my shoulder but that’s not so bad, considering. Found a century’s supply of neo-primitive healing salves and some incantations in Wolfram & Hart’s medicine cabinets. Used them all at once, it still took months to heal. Every second of that time was spent awake, and the pain… I’m not a stranger to pain but this, this was mind-numbing. To get through it without snapping I learned to focus on something else. I imagined you. I talked to you the entire time. I didn’t actively choose you. When I’m conscious it still hurts to say your name. But when I needed someone, there you were. I guess it makes sense, during my time in Los Angeles, you were what kept me sane. The dragon guarded me night and day. Heard every rant, every one-sided conversation. And he thought I was talking to him. He thinks his name… is your name. Is that weird?

Do you really think that Cordelia, in all her Higher Being-ness, could be mad at him for something like that? 😉

"white avenger agrees: Hmm Seems strange, after reading that, that he didn't name O' Scaly "Buffy." Maybe there's something to this Cangel business after all. Still, I think that by that time, she would just be looking for any excuse to kick Angel's a**."

I think this Twilight business would be more than enough...unless The PTB are somehow okay with it or being manipulated by [ominous music] THE UNIVERSE!
