What do you think she'd be like as a high school girl in our world (hobbies, friends, grades, etc.)

Hmmmmmmm... yep probably expelled haha. It'd also be interesting to know how she would be in the buffy verse 2017 style 😵

I could see her into video games in a big way. But it's hard to say without concrete details of her life before Sunnydale.

She was really excited for that PlayStation the mayor got her, so yea I could see her being into some video games. We often saw her watching TV or Redding a magazine. School probably not her thing. I think Faith would be pretty much the same as on the show. Probably still a wild child, partying and hooking up with guys.

That's true about the stakes. A friend of mine went from being homeschooled to a public school and she got in big trouble for having knitting needles. 🙄 (Though she did say after she got to know the kids at that school, and how much sense and impulse control many of them lacked, she couldn't blame them. She personally didn't trust them with pens and pencils. 😱 )

But I was actually thinking of Faith pre-Buffy. I just don't think of her going to Sunnydale High at all, and don't recall her having any classes, and the only scene I recall of her and a classroom was her being outside to get Buffy to ditch the class she was in. And yet I vaguely recall Faith telling Buffy to do some homework, so maybe. If she DID go to school then the Watchers Council had to be involved. Even back in Texas of the 1990s it took a lot of paperwork for me to change schools, and because my mom was being so irresponsible (I was living with my grandmother at the time) it took months to get it through. I was allowed into school as the town was so small and they knew of my mother (who had also gone to that school), but technically I wasn't allowed in and they just pretended to have the paperwork but hadn't gotten around to processing it yet. I'm sure California would be more demanding, and I doubt Snyder would've been so understanding.

Oh gods, a meeting between Snyder and Faith! 😀 Why was this never shown? 😡 😉

Faith and Snyder did meet -- albeit briefly -- in Season 3 when she pulled a knife on him for trying to take the Box of Gavrok

I think she did go because she attended Homecoming, she attended regular Scooby meetings in the school library plus Wesley was instated there to be her watcher. Also Gwyndeline Post (or whatever her name was) was also hanging around the school. If Faith wasn't a student, I don't see why they would be needed there. Also it would look suspicious if you had three random people hanging around a school.

Perhaps, but I don't know of any official explanation for Gwyndeline being there either. Generally speaking, a school of Sunnydale's size probably isn't going to ask too many questions about people they don't know as long as they look like they belong (though Faith wouldn't pass the dress code at any high school I went to, but Buffy and Cordelia would've probably gotten sent home a few times as well so Sunnydale is less restrictive--I understand many schools were laid back before too many girls started dressing like Britney Spears). Gwyn looked so pompous that I could see people assuming she's a consultant or some such, and Sunnydale is a town afflicted with silence and looking the other way. But Snyder would, so I'm not sure what to think of that. Could be the Mayor said let her hang around as that we she could be spied on easier, and perhaps manipulated.

Other people came into the library that didn't belong, such as Ethan and countless vampires.

Btw, I doubt any school would accept a motel or "motor inn" as a home address to mail parents (or even an adult student). 😀

But the vampires were after dark when the school was closed so nobody saw them and Ethan knew magic so he could probably appear and disappear as he pleased without getting caught.

I just saw the scene I recalled. Faith wasn't talking about copying Buffy's homework, but rather the assignment Wesley (new Watcher) gave her.

If she had her same parents/home life, I think she would drop out and become a runaway. She would probably go through some tough times for a few years, but then when she's of age she gets herself a job as a waitress or bartender and gets her life together and takes care of herself.
