For sure, Not Fade Away wouldn't have happened since it was a fast-paced way to end the series. Things would have ended differently had the show run up to Season 6 or even 7.

What do you think would have happened on Season 5, had it not been the last season. What would Season 6 and 7 would have been?

It surely wouldn't follow the After The Fall comics storyline. The effects for the comics would just be too expensive. Somewhat like the budget of making a CGI movie. So it won't be that, probably.

Joss has said on several occasions that, if a Season 6 had been televised, he had, indeed, planned on LA being pulled into hell, but quite obviously, with the budget limitations that they would have had, the hell that they went to wouldn't have been on such a grand scale. Also, the possibility of Oz joining the show and helping Nina, who would probably have had a more expanded role in the 6th season, adjust to and control her lycanthropic tendencies, was considered, along with having Illyria and Fred divided into two separate beings, with Amy Acker playing both parts.

Joss. J. August Richards and Alexis Denisof have all said, on numerous occasions, that if the show had continued than Wesley wouldn't have died. Not sure about Gunn being a vampire, but Wesley definitely would have survived.

There was also talk of splitting Illyria and Fred into two separate entities, but I don't know how they would have worked.

Ah! Alright... so it would have continued with Fred and Illyria's love story with Wesley.

Hmmm... what else would change?

Would most of the story be like the comics though? But just with lesser demons because of the budget?

I'm pretty certain that Joss said that Gunn would have been vamped if the show had been renewed.

I wish we would have gotten to see Gunn as a vampire on the show... I have a feeling that would have been freakin' cool. 🙂

So... it would follow the Gunn storyline thing of the comics? Like he killed Angel and time was turned back?

Well, we have no way of knowing for sure, because it's all speculation. I like to think it might follow a storyline similar if it had been done that way, though.

Ah, so basically, Angel After the Fall would be Angel Season 6? Just without super huge demons and all because of the budget?

I wish Angel had continued, season 5 was (IMO) the best season and I could see that they were planning big things for the future. I also never heard the rumor of Oz coming back, which would have been amazing, plus watching Spike and Angel argue would never have gotten boring lol
