What would you do???

Being a younger sister, I'd probably be in Dawn's place. As Dawn, I think I's rather give my life to save the world, since my life wouldn't be worth much in a world demons had control over, and this way I could be remembered as a hero...

(maybe they'd even make a little marble statue, and put garlands on it...no! evil pigeons! go away!)

Yea Alyssa I would definately push you in...but then during my victory dance I'd trip and fall too lol

Thats true...but hey, wouldn't it be neat to find out? lol

Carolyn: Good...I hope you would fall in if you pushed me first...lol And, Just don't be going and finding out what happens after death anytime soon....

If I was Buffy it would be a tough choice...if I were Dawn I would jump...but if I were Buffy I wouldn't force her to jump...but if she felt she needed to to save the world...and she was set on that decision, as hard as it would be to let her go...I would let her jump...I'd try to talk her out of it...but in the end...I think I would let her go...

I would also probably leave it up to Dawn, and hope she made the right choice. If she chose not to, then there would be a problem...I might push her in if it came to that. I guess it comes down to the end of Angel, Season 7--do you sacrifice a few people for the happiness and safety of the many, or do you save those few (or, in this case, one) and allow all the rest to fend for themselves?

Yes, humanity did expell the demons of longago, but how many lives were lost in the process? One person's linf would not be worth Hell on Earth.

With the first scenario, I'd like to think I'd jump, but I'd probably be so scared I couldn't move...Or maybe I'd suddenly get alot of courage and jump...I don't think I'll know for sure if I'm not even put in that position (and I really hope I never will be!)
Second scenario: If Dawn wanted to jump, I think I'd let her...But it would be hard moving on after it...

If I was completely sure that my death would save the world, then, hell yeah I'd jump!!!

With the first scenario, I really don't think I would have come to the conclusion Buffy did (she took a hell of a gamble on that blood thing...) but I think I would have jumped. Second scenario, from Buffy's point of view, and I'm a little sister myself bear in mind, I probably would have gone into breakdown mode. If and when I came out of it in time, I'm sorry, I think I would have done it. Sorry Dawn. 🙁

BTW. Quick note about Athiesm and the Afterlife. In a way, its a less scary idea, that there's nothing afterwards. It means that the only person you have to answer to is yourself. I don't like the idea of being judged worthy or unworthy and damned accordingly by something else's standards.

if some religious nut forced their mystic glowy thing on me and gave me 14 years back memory of them being a whinny little brat and i had to kill my excellent self or let it live?

not only would i push it over too save the world i'd demand the monks pay me for them pricey brand name clouthes she insisted on wearing!

LOL Faldor, your so lovely arent you..lol

Id like to thing Id jump...If I knew it would save the world...I suppose..Id be scared as hell...knowing it would kill me..but in Buffy world her live did suck...so I'd prob most defiently jump...If the Buffy jumping didnt work..Id prob make her jump..lol sounds harsh..but they could always bring her back couldnt they..

i would jump!(i have a sis, and if we were(well it's very unlikely 😉) in the same situation, and my sis was not my real sis, she is still my sis! you know... so i would jump!!!! )

Buffy didn't only jump for Dawn's sake. She also jumped for her own sake. Like she said, she was finished - complete. Maybe it's not the way most people would want me to phrase it, but Buffy killed herself. Her jump was a suicide.
Three years ago, she killed the man she loved more than anything in the world to save the world, it was his blood that she needed, now she was in the same situation again, only this time it was her sister's blood. She said it herself - she did not understand this world anymore - everyone she loved were slowly being taken away and there was nothing she could do. Already during her speech, she set her mind on that she wouldn't repeat her mistake with Angel - she wouldn't give up her loved one for the sake of the world anymore, as much as it was the "slayer thing to do".
For one second, she decided she belonged to herself rather than to the world or her calling - and she comitted suicide.

i wouldn't hesitate to jump at all, especially if it came down to one of my sisters or me. my sisters are my life so i'd definitely jump.

For MY sister? I'd push her in in a heartbeat. Can't stand the bitca. But for someone I truly loved, like my mom or dad or my brother or my fiance, plus the WHOLE world riding on this decision, I'd like to think I'd do what Buffy did. In the second senario..god, I'd try to leave the choice up to Dawn, but if she didn't do it, I'd probably have to push her in.

If I were in Buffy's position in life I would jump, I could never live with the fact that I sacrificed my sister, to save the world would be my job and not my sisters.
