What would YOU do?

One little thing I would change in Pangs

Spike : Yeah, well, it looks like they've done me for good. Um...

Buffy : What are you saying?

Spike : I'm saying that Spike had a little trip to the vet and now he doesn't chase the other puppies anymore. I can't bite anything. I can't even hit people.

Buffy : So you haven't murdered anybody lately? (beat) I really couldn't care less

Buffy rips off Spike's blanket and tosses him into the sunlight, where he burns to a crisp. Everyone goes back inside and helps fight the Indian spirits and then has a nice Thanksgiving dinner before Buffy goes outside to sweep up the pile of dust that was once Spike.

This change makes a lot of sense to me, after all Spike is a vampire, Buffy is a vampire slayer.
Bahaha, EffyStonem, that was fantastic. I think the writing needed to be much, much stronger to justify the Scoobies not staking Spike post-chip (or even in "Lovers Walk," for that matter). As the story stands, your version makes the most sense.

On Angel, I'd change "The Girl in Question" because it makes both Angel and Spike look like utter buffoons. The Wes/Illyria subplot was excellent, but the entire Rome storyline could have been replaced with something to help build up the final arc with the Circle of the Black Thorn better. There are definitely issues with other episodes and entire seasons, but "The Girl in Question" is the one episode that actively wastes time instead of developing important arcs. If there was room for a silly one-off in S5, it was *not* episode 20 of 22.

On Buffy, I'd change "Where the Wild Things Are" to something less tasteless and more enjoyable. Possibly another musical episode centered around Giles's rendition of "Behind Blue Eyes."

Yes! Lover's Walk is exactly the point where not staking Spike became farcical. Once he told Buffy Willow & Xander were in the factory she should have chopped his head off.
I would have re-written the first episode of Season Six. I would set up the story to where Buffy wouldn't meet back up with the gang until a few episodes later. The Scoobies may think they have failed much longer. I have always been interested in the summer (the time between) Season Five and Six.. the time without Buffy.. where Willow was the leader and Spike fought by their side.

I just saw that episode today. And I thought exactly the same thing during the time I saw it 🙂
