Is there a storyline that was not covered that you would have liked to have been dealt with in either Buffy or Angel? (I don't mean dealt with better but a storyline totally untouched upon)

Yeah, sure, I'd love to see a Dark Buffy storyline. And you know, not some mustache twirling turned into a vampire villain Buffy story, 'cause that's just boring, more like a storyline about Buffy losing her heart. Not caring anymore. Not forgiving anymore. Not helping. Focusing on self-centered hedonism. Not actively committing acts of evil but not fighting it as well unless something directly attacks her. Some girl is dragged out of the Bronze by a vampire? Buffy does nothing, she doesn't care, she's there to have a drink. Some evil tries to destroy the world? Good for them, Buffy's not interested, somebody else has to play the hero.
Other thing I'd like to see is Buffy appreciating her being the slayer. Taking pride in it, celebrating it and reveling in it. Hell yes, killing things with my bare hands is bloody awesome! Because Buffy kinda enjoys slaying nasty things, I'd like to see her admit that more often too. Like, she decapitates a vampire and she's like Yep, I'm awesome! with a huge grin on her face.
Buffy and magic. Suddenly in "No Place Like Home" Buffy starts casting powerful spells, just like that, zero effort and it goes nowhere. What is this garbage? I want my Buffy to throw fireballs! ...or I want to know why she doesn't. She obviously has power, most likely a lot of it, why doesn't she use it? Why?
One last thing, the back from the dead and ripped from heaven issue. Why can't Buffy simply kill herself again? It seems fair, right? Why does she keep on living? What's keeping her in this world? What motivates her? The show never really answers those questions in a meaningful way. Hardly even approaches those issues. Instead of actual character development we get a boring, irrelevant, trite, shallow depression storyline coupled with vampire erotica fan service garbage. I mean, a person who's seen the other side, who knows that afterlife is a fact should never feel bad about people dying. It makes no sense when there's a better place. Potentials die, well good for them, right? No, of course not, Buffy's like oh those poor girls I got killed in "Touched". Why? Why do value life Buffy, you have no reason to do so.

Though it now sounds like stealing the story line from some newer vampire series, back when "Buffy" was running, I always thought that it would be interesting to have a group of vampires more or less sign a peace treaty with the Slayer, forming a little isolated community where they raised livestock to collect blood and pretty much put aside all the evil predator human stalking life style. It always seemed to me that, out of the millions of vampires throughout history, at least a few would see the good sense of not killing humans in order to avoid angry mobs with torches and sharp pointed wooden implements. At least a few evil undead beings should have been smart enough to see the value in not killing people.

It's kinda explored. In "Into the Woods" we learn that there are vampires that suck people for money and don't kill them in the process. As Anya put it:

I would have liked to see Giles have another love interest (a serious one; Olivia doesn't count for me) after Jenny. I felt like they didn't give him enough to do, or a more valid reason to be there in Sunnydale.

After the Initiative collapses as a government department, I would like to see Ethan Rayne escape and get up to more mischief. He was only in good episodes and they were good because he was in them.
We need more Clem! We could look at his origins, associates and how he got to be the most trusted demon.
A shapeshifter (other than Glory/Ben or a werewolf) would have been a formidable adversary.
The Mothman (most famous at Point Pleasant WV) and the Irish banshee could have been the focus of good additional episodes.
Add an epsiode centred on Willie the Snitch - what he knows and who he deals with.

More serious Xanya issues. I felt their whole arc felt a little empty. In S4 they barely did anything, in S5 they were just comic relief and "Triangle" was their only relevant episode. They only got interesting between "Hell's Bells" and "Selfless". I just wish the writers did more with their relationship seeing as they were one of the principal couples in the show.
I agree that Giles should have had more of a life of his own too, especially in S4 and 5. I appreciate that he may not want to share it with the Scoobies but I think the audience would like to see Giles have a lady friend, maybe an old flame from Watcher Academy or something?

You're right here. The only possible explanation I can think of is that Buffy's memory of heaven slowly fades away? She doesn't kill herself straight away after coming back because of shock and also it would make Willow's spell utterly meaningless, which would be harsh to Dawn and the other Scoobies. I guess she also felt tied to earth throughout S6 because of the Scoobies and also her sense of duty of a slayer. Buffy dying won't bring about a new slayer, and Faith in jail wasn't going to do anything so the Hellmouth would be a demon playground again. In "The Gift" she died for a reason, to save the world. I think Buffy would have jumped at the chance to do something similar again in S6, if the opportunity had presented itself. But it never did. I think Buffy's ties to the Scoobies and her slayer duties were stronger than any desire to kill herself, despite her intense depression. Poor girl.

Not sure how to edit a post so apologies for the double post, but a storyline where one of Anya's past victims comes back to "haunt" her, or something to that affect would have been good. This would have meant that Xander and Anya would have both had to deal with Anya's murderous past head on in a more serious way than presented in "Triangle".
