If indeed this is the end, this is how I want it to go out. They're not spoilers for me, they're just what I would like to see happen for the characters.

The First Evil-I want this thing to kill all the SITs and Faith as well, and when it does pretty much all the demons will die. And the explanation would be that you can't have on eand not the other. You can't have good without bad, black without white you know what I mean?

Xander- I want him to keep doing well with his construction company, and perhaps come to a true reconciliation with Anya. I don't want them back together, but I want him to truly forgive her and vice versa.

Buffy-I want her to deal with her feelings, it seems like she has been so cold lately. Something is definitely not right there. I also think Willow and Buffy need to have a SERIOUS discussion about raising her from her grave. Buffy has been holding some things in and she needs to let it out. I also want Buffy to retire, take Dawn and together with Giles, restart the Watcher's council and run it on their terms (no crazy tests like on 'Helpless'). I think she should take Mr. Traver's place, Buffy seems like she is growing into a hard and strong, but still fair, woman.

Willow-I want Willow to come to terms with her magic, and go back to school. I think she would make a wonderful watcher, then she can join Giles and the Buffster.

Spike-Dusted. Sorry guys, I love Marster's as an actor but I think the SPike story is just getting ridiculous. I miss the old Spike and just don't find this new one interesting. But I doubt Joss will let it happen.

And finally, it's all about the Scoobs for me. Right now I wonder if they even like each other. One thing I have missed in the last couple of seasons is their friendship which is really the reason why I loved the show so much in the first place. The chemistry of the original Scoobies can never be matched. I would LOVE for the show to end with Buffy, Xander, Willow and Giles, the originals, walking off together in the end (if Buffy doesn't die). I want the friendship to be rekindled in these last 12 episodes or so, because I am really missing that. That for me would be the perfect ending.

.

New one as the one that was mentally tormented by the FE to kill some people and make vamps etc? WHats so wrong with that? It fits into the plot, I still find Spikes character interesting and I got a feeling its about to become VERY interesting!

I'm with Joe. I'll continue to dilude myself that the series isn't over until I hear that fat lady sing 🙂

As far as finale expectations, I'm not going to put up any expectations. The show has been everything it could be for me, and is really the only television show I've ever really gotten into. I trust Whedon and the gang of writers when they say they will provide a wonderful epic this season. I'm sure the finale will be great.

I guess from what I've picked up and inferred -- that the Slayer's power will pass to a foreign-born SIT for a possible spin-off. That's more theory than spoiler, 'cause no one's come out and said it yet.

That is a spoiler, but unconfirmed. And I consider most spoilers at this moment lickely!

Buffy wakes up and is back in high school. She walks towards the library to meet up with Giles and he tells her she is the Slayer, and she realizes that she just had a premoniton of the next 7 yrs of her life! And it goes to a close up of her face and she says, "Oh sh--!" and it cuts off before she finishes her sentence, 😛

i would like to see hugs and embraces all around
even the first evil will get a hug from buffy

Id like to see it end with Sunnydale on fire and the hellmouth open, all beasts released slaughtering everything they see and people panicing. Then id like to see the FE having possessed Spike and he is now working with Faith. Buffy has to fight and kill Spike to close the hellmouth without killing Faith cause if she kills Faith the slayer line will be eliminiated(for some reason, dunno why 😛).

And oh as the final end I want her to wake up in her bed, tied up in a bed screaming with men in white coats giving her needleshots to calm her down and her mother saying "You need to wake up".

That would be fun, he can't take corporeal form, she'd just hug the air, and probably lean over to much and fall, maybe she'd break her neck and the First succeeded in his plan to take down the Slayer ... LMAO

Mayhem, Havoc, Apocalypse ... I like the sound of it. And the Normal Again thing would be a great way for her to exit!

I'd like to see Buffy get vamped, and then true to her calling, stake herself in a kind of fated, glamorous, self-destrucive Juliet-type death. The beauty of that would be that even in death she's still the slayer. I want Willow to become more Buddhist-y, and best pals with Xander forever. I want Anya to...I don't really know. Whatever happens to her will probably be for the best. I want Dawn to use her grand key nature to help people, or even save the world, and if that means dying in order to do it by the season finale, no problem there. Spike...I have no idea. If his end isn't dust, then it better be incredibly good. I would love love love it if one of the characters died and Tara was there to take one of them away. And as for Faith, I want her to have things on her own terms, because redeemed characters are getting kind of stale. Maybe if she grows into herself a little more, all her problems will be fixed. I don't want her to die, because bad girls who meet and untimely end are so very passe. Giles--if he's alive he should go on and on, reading books and mentoring people. He should never die.

Yeah, then have it cut to the entire cast of Angel, standing around awkwardly.

Fred: "Does this mean we aren't real?"

Lorne: "What about our continuing wacky adventures?"

Angel: "Shut up, the both of you."

Roll credits.

Not nescesairly, "Normal Again" could just be an alternative reality, doesn't mean it's the real thing, I mean both the reality we watch and the realit of Döppelganland exsist!

My theory for the finale, and future of the Buffyverse.

*Spoilers, uncomfirmed, and only brought out from my own little mind*

Ok, heres how I think it will end. After Buffy begins to question the lines of good and bad, and maybe even leaves the scoobies to join with the first evil, Faith breaks out of jail and hops in to save Willow or Dawn from the evil-Buffy.

After fighting for a couple of episodes, Faith dies, Buffy comes back to the scoobies. Theres one last battle that happens in the last thirty minutes of the show, Xander embraces with Anya, and then all the scoobies march out in classic fashion with Giles at their side.

Willow clears the way, with Xander and Anya on pick-up crew taking out little left overs, while Buffy marches up the front to face the first evil. She fights The Master, then Angel or Dru, then the Mayor, Adam, Glory, and it ends with Buffy fighting herself one-on-one. Its been hinted at for three seasons now, Buffy is at war with herself, and this will be the showdown.

After being stomped into the ground, good Buffy drops onto her knees at the mercy of The First. Spike rushes in, and saves the day. And then gets staked for his trouble by evil-Buffy.

This makes good-Buffy rush into a bezerker rage and finally defeat the evil-Buffy, most likely with some sort of stakish method.

The Hellmouth of Sunnydale closes, and Buffy knows she must leave to pursue slaying elsewhere, on another hellmouth somewhere out in the world.

Giles rebuilds the watchers council, and goes on to have his own spin-off, "Ripper".

Willow, and the scoobies take over the original BTVS, with a new title.

Willow comes to understand her magic, and use it more properlly, though responsibly and not without consequences.

Dawn lives her life much as she has thusfar, we get revealations about the key in the second season of the new series.

Xander and Anya remain at odds, Xander's job very succesful, and Anya taking over the rebuilt Magic box.

We hear passing references to Buffy made in the new show, and possibly Ripper, but not Angel. She is left with one last image going off into the sunset, like a proper heroin, and her adventures are left to our imagination.

If Aly turns down the oppurtunity to take on a new series, Michelle Trachtenburg will be offered the oppurtunity. The series will air for a season, but fans won't embrace it despite its quality, and it will fall into nothing.

Thats my theory anyway.

I like it, except for the fact, that this is Emma's last season, and Aly is contracted for one more season ... and sure the fans will embrace, no matter how sucky it might be!

Yeah, I agree. Even if its horrible, we'd watch it. We're loyal like that. I like your idea though. Its pretty cool.
