What would your Dream Job be and why?

You may already have it. If not which job would you ideally like to have, and for what reasons.

Mine would be film critic. Reasons? Well first off all the predictable one of getting paid to see films (which must soften the blow when they are stinkers😀).

Also I see the role as a cruical public service role. Where you can guide people in whether to see a film and for what reasons, as well as giving specific adivice on such things as ratings, and what kind of films would be suitable for which ages etc..

Most of all it appeals as it would be give me the chance to make people aware of good films which otherwise might not get such and look in, and to encourage a few extra to go and see said film. Likewise if a film is being over hyped then it would give me the chance to readdress the balance and save a few extra people their hard earned money.

Besides film critic I wouldn't being a script writer or editor, or to work in some role at Film festivals.

Hmm, one where I'm paid a lot to do very little, I wish. Film critic I think would be a great job, or working at film festivals like you said. My ideal job though .. Either to work with films or be a writer in some sense of the word. Whether it be novels or scripts or even a critic. Something along that description, and to do well in it. That's the ideal so far anyway, could change in a few years wherever I end up.

A museum tour guide (I minored in art history/critical studies) or a writer. If I could do either of those, I would be extremely happy.

But I love my job (I'm a jewelry rep for a few well known chains) and I wouldn't change it for the world.

And to stay on topic.. my dream job would be High School driver's ed instructor... wait.. that's what I do!

I get an allowance every six months, so I can pick what I want out of the current stock up to a certain value and I get first pick at any sale items. And I don't HAVE to wear my stock, but I always try to wear at least one piece, because I think that I shouldn't be representing this brand if I'm not willing to be seen wearing it.

Interesting. That makes sense. That's kinda cool. You could stockpile a little treasure chest if there long enough.

As much as I love being a chemist (2nd dream job lol), my first choice would be to make a living off of training horses and working with people and their horse. Unfortunately, it's very hard to make enough money doing that to sustain yourself, so right not I'm just aiming at doing that one the side.

Uh, a spy? A private dick? No, a cat burglar! Or...maybe a space...pirate? Okay, that isn't ACTUALLY a job but I did dream about it once. So technically it IS my dream job! 😀

Or maybe just a writer- being able to write professionally instead of just in my spare time would be brilliant. 🙂

Vampire Slayer! Wait, back to reality. I don't think I have a specific one dream job. I would love to get paid to talk about TV shows and analyze them. A script writer for a show would be cool too. When I was younger my dream job was to be a geologist. Still sounds like fun, but not where I'm heading.

Well I always used to think that my dream job would be something active like Personal Trainer or animal related jobs, and I do still feel a yearn towards the animals, but having tried it I know that it takes me roughly three to six months to grow bored with the lack of cerebral challenges. So I would say professor/researcher with the possible extension as author of really boring, niched student litterature (the kinds I tend to love myself).

Great post. You should always be looking to challenge yourself or to strive for something (well almost always). Of course you can over do it but within in reason I think this is a good quality to have.

Its funny how things work out. When I was 18 I was working in a warehouse and training for that kind of role. I was content in the company, and at that point and age you don't look that far into the future, and I just assumed that I might be doing that kind of job for most of my working life. Anyway, today thats the last kind of job I would want to do, at least as a career. I would do it as a stop-gap to fund my long term goal, but nothing more.

Actor. That's all I've ever wanted to be, ever since I can remember. Unfortunately I need job stability in my life and need a full time job, so there goes that idea. But that is what I would be doing if I had the chance.
