What would your Nightmares be?

Drown, mostly in a tsunami. Seein a huge wave quickly heading towards me... I have fear of water, so....

That's easy: Life without Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dark Angel!!!!

No without Joking... I dreamed once that I was in a big big amusement park. I wasn't really scared but I was searching for the exit of the parc. I still couldn't find it!!! So I keep on trying the various amusements. When I awaked I was so happy because I as no longer catched into the park!!!

The nightmares that I have had in more recent years have always been based on subconscious fears that I have, but have only discovered through things that I have dreamt about. For example, I once had a nightmare about stabbing my nephew, which could be linked to a fear of not being able to control anger (as I'm not a particularly angry person, and so I fear that if I ever did feel real anger I wouldn't be able to control it).

Another example is dreams about going to a festival. I go to a music festival called Cropredy, and I've been every year since I was 11 years old. I look forward to it more than anything in the world, and it's probably my favourite place in the world to be. However, every time I have a dream about going there, something always goes horribly wrong, like the festival being cancelled or not making it in time. I've figured out that the reason I have these dreams is because I know the world isn't perfect, I know that not everything is gonna go to plan, and that one day, no matter how well the festival is organized, something is gonna prevent me from going. And I'm consciously aware of the fact that this probably isn't going to happen, but my Ego just refuses to believe that.

Very interesting.
Ever since I was little, I've had a recurring dream where somehow Teo starts driving a car and we crash and die (strangely enough, it normally starts off as a weird or even funny dream- once, before we got into the car, we saw my eighth grade algebra teacher doing the hula in a grass skirt...). But I got over that a couple years ago when I started trying to work on lucid dreaming.

I still lose control sometimes, and then my bad dreams are normally supernatural or bloody or both, and nearly always include someone close to me getting hurt. My nightmares would likely include my mom or brothers or sister or girlfriend or one of my besties getting hurt in front of me (sorry, Spikey and Wolfgirl!). So I really hope it doesn't happen.

Haven't had a nightmare for years, but if I remember rightly, it was about a giant talking tiger that chased me up a cliff and then jumped over my head so I fell backwards... then I woke up! A nightmare for me now would be about spiders, being chased or buried alive!

I used to have a dream, when I was younger, it was a recurring dream and when I woke up I was shaking because it had scared me so much. All it was was a feeling of being incredibly small and having this giant try to squash me. I never saw the giant it was just always a feeling of it being there looming over me. I dont even know why I had such a reaction to it, but I've not had the dream in years.

I've had similar dreams where someone is looming over me....so creepy!
Mine would probably be about a couple different things. First of all, my parents would tell me it was my fault they got a divorce, similar to Buffy's. My mom would admit that she hated me. My peers would turn on me followed by my grandparents because I come out fully to them.

Or something would happen to my little sister.

Or, hell. I meet my self ten years from now. Broke, a loser, with nothing going for him.

None of my dreams really scare me anymore, because almost all of them are lucid. I know that I'm dreaming, so I find them fun. I used to be terrified of dreams when I knew someone was in the house trying to kill my family, but my family wouldn't believe me. I haven't had a dream like that in ages. What scares me now is that sometimes when I wake up in the morning, I can't move or open my eyes. It's so terrifying. I think it's called sleep paralysis. Ugh. It seemed to start happening more as I became less afraid of my nightmares.

Go figure.

Either becoming paralyzed and trapped in my own body without being able to use it, or becoming obese to the point of not being me anymore (I have weight issues and one of my biggest fear is becoming truly obese).

Eh, there's lots of things I think it could be if I was in that episode. But what I think it would happen and what would actually be picked up on in that situation are probably completely different things.

I think spiders would be a biggie, but maybe not 'cause I can deal with them if I really try. Being buried alive would be one. Urgh nonononononono. Or losing my mam. I don't know what I'd do without her. Ghosts is probably a major one too. Like the little girl from The Ring or the Woman in Black. I'm freaking myself out now just typing this :/

It might be something like speaking in public too. I panic like mad at every little presentation we do at uni so I'd imagine that would work it's way in somehow.

This isn't a fun topic 😛

Spiders!!!! eeek!
Well, I don't really remember too many of my actual nightmares (although there have been a few), but if that episode came to life I think the real-life nightmare I'd be seeing would me missing something by a few seconds.

I'm trying to figure out how to word this properly. I don't have phobias. Sure, I'm not crazy about things like snakes or heights, but I don't think "afraid" would be the right word. They're not fun, but I've dealt with them when I've had to. But one thing that I do worry about, it kind of kicks around in my subconcious, is the possibility of being needed somewhere and not getting there in time. Like, if one of my siblings or friends was in danger or something like that, and I got there too late. That would be a nightmare to me.

Most nightmares i have i try to forget right away but if there's one i have had few times in my life that i always remember it would be being diagnosed with cancer or a really serious illness.

a few of my family members have died from cancer and its always haunted my family. Most of the time the nightmare revolves around me and this white room, i have my family with me but i cant hear what there saying and when i close my eyes and open them their all gone and im on my own in the white room with tubes of blood attached to my arm.

I hope that wasn't disturbing, but its one nightmare i have always remembered.

I have three reoccurring nightmares that I have once or twice a month. The first is getting involved in a car accident, and having my leg pinned between the car door and my seat and not being able to play soccer ever again. *shudders*..

The second is when my sister was 4, and I was 10 she fell down the escalator because it was off and basically stairs. I went down them fast and she was trying to keep up, and fell half way down the stairs. She luckily only recieved a scar from the event, but in my nightmare she doesn't get up. She ends up dying from the fall, and I carry the guilt with my in my nightmare. Usually I wake up screaming.

My third nightmare I have is where no one gives me the time of day. They act as if I am invisible and don't exist. My family, boyfriend, friends, and co-workers go about their day like I'm not there. So I guess that is being forgotten or just being invisible. I haven't quite figured that one out yet.

So those are my three reoccurring nightmares that my brain likes to throw at me now and again.

Geez! Those are some legit nightmares!!
Probably any scenario where you are running from someone or something trying to kill you. Like if you new you were going to die before it happened. Being tortured would be a terrible nightmare. I'll stop there 😱

That would be truly terrifying. Having someone chase you with something. Those are scary also.
I have a few.

The most irrational involves meeting David Bowie, and him coming up to me and trying to hug me. It seriously creeps me out.

I also have reoccurring ones about snakes (ew) and people chasing me.

I have had a few about zombies, which are really terrifying and graphic.

What do I think they say? 1: David Bowie is super creepy. 2: Snakes are super creepy too, and so are strangers, especially ones chasing you to attack you (I have stranger danger fear). 3: I watch too much stuff about zombies, as does the rest of the world apparently.

When I was younger, I had this really odd recurring dream where (My point of view angle, I never see myself) I'm in this green-lit stone stairway, like in a parking garage, I see this cardboard cutout of Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) disappearing down the stairway, I try to follow it, then a guy dressed like Dracula pops up and says "Ooooh, I've found you, I've found you!" Then he bends down as though to bite my neck like a vampire would do, but before he gets there, the scene freezes and becomes somewhat fuzzy, like static, then I hear garbled screaming, then . . . I wake up. I never knew what the hell it was, but it was just bizarre. And as far as the vampire-Dracula connection, this was several years before I got into Buffy, so it had nothing to do with that.
Today, my fears would consist of:
1 Being stuck in a natural disaster (Especially a Hurricane or Tornado).
2 Joey Logano winning the Sprint Cup championship in Nascar.
3 Everybody I know dying all at once.
4 (To a lesser extent) Surrounded by spiders.
