What would your Nightmares be?

I'm not totally sure, it appears I don't know myself very well. But lately I've been having dreams/nightmares of natural diasters. I don't know if this is because of all of the natural diasters going on in the world (and man-made diasters, the house across the street caught on fire yesterday) but yeah ...

I hear you about that. Last year we had a Tiny earthquake (I think it was a 3.0 magnitude tremor) rumble through my neighbourhood. First time I'd ever experienced such a thing and it made me feel very uneasy particularly with all the news of natural disasters and the quake in New Zealand. I began to have recurring dreams about natural disasters and the world ending.

Its strange I used to be quite obsessed with apocalyptic scenarios always jokingly preparing and wishing for a zombie apocalypse, but ever since I read "The Road" and saw Threads(1984) I fear having to live through an apocalypse. Living a miserable existence scraping by with every meal. It'd be truly awful.

Awww, yeah. I totally get that. I live in NZ and my Dad is in Christchurch right now and they are still have aftershocks...it's pretty freaky.
Fears: Car accident, Buried Alive, Clowns, and dying. Yes, I know the last one is inevitable but it's still a legitimate fear.

I think my fears show that I am a caring person and I am in tune with emotions and I enjoy being given the opportunity to live my life.. Death may be Buffy's gift, But to me..life is mine. I enjoy every day I have on this planet because you never know when it may be your last.

Other than the stuff that has been mentioned above, this is my fear: MUPPETS.
Muppets running around everywhere with knives. And that green one with the round head and glasses and no eyes... SHUDDER.

I don't usually have nightmares but I used to have one over and over again ages ago, I'm running through this labryinth absolutley terrified, running from a knight on a horse, everything is green, even the air! I'm running and running then come to a dead end, just as the knight is about to chop my head off, I wake up....with my heart jumping out of my chest! Very odd, havn't had that in ages but the images are burned into my brain!! :S

I'd say, losing my children in any way is my biggest fear. My second most feared nightmare, is the kind where I'm trying to save someone...BUT... I'm moving waaaaaay to slow, or the trigger on my gun wont pull, or I can't punch hard enough(etc.).
I 'm not sure what those fears/nightmares mean.

Mine is usually trying to get away from some unknown entity but for some reason I am moving SO slow, like i'm in slow motion or wind is pushing me back.

Also, witches or old ladies! Sometimes I'll dream that an old lady is staring at me. Or one time I had a dream that on old lady was outside my window looking in at me, RIGHT INTO MY EYES and one of her own eyes was mutilated like things were stuck into it, and I woke up and cried like a friggin' 3 year old--so frightening. Perhaps this means I don't like old people, or I'm scared of becoming one or something..

It would most likely contain either Clowns (God, they've scared me since i was kid), or me dying in a fire.

I think i got nightmares just listing those...

These two things also terrify me. For truth.
Other than the usual, mine involve Muppets (yes, it's true) and people yelling at me.

I actually had a nightmare about the last one recently.

I'm profoundly grateful I don't live in a town where nightmares becoming reality is a possibility, because in the last month, I've had two nightmares starring the Weeping Angels from Doctor Who. Easily the most terrifying nightmares I've ever had, including the zombie apocalypse one I had in April. At least it was easier not to blink in the dreams, thanks to my eyes being closed in reality.

doctor who love. also, the weeping angels are the scariest doctor who villains, hands down.

AHHH! The Weeping Angels are terrifying! I love those Doctor Who eps though. I recently had a nightmare involving The Silence from Doctor Who. They also scare the pants off of me.

Yeah, the Silence would be pretty horrifying too, because you can't even trust your own memory, and you forget over and over why you should be running away. *shudder*

the silence are terrifying, as are the weeping angels.
the episodes with the silence where amy and rory and the doctor have those hash marks on their skin from all the times they've seen the silence--one minute there's like two, the next a hundred. i'm getting shivers just typing it.

I have this irrational fear of having a heart attack. I know I couldn't possibly have one at this moment right now, but anytime my heart does something I'm not used to I freak out and have a panic attack.

And I have a reoccurring dream that my husband says he doesn't love me anymore.

Oh no! Those are both terrible!
I think what we fear most is lack of love, lack of hate, lack of emotion. And we all fear the loss of a loved one. I think all emotions are intertwined with each other, but I would say that love is the most powerful, it really depends on the way you see the world. Buffy and Angel has helped me with that.

I had a nightmare last night, that I was a waitress again( I was about 4 years ago) and the cook kept ringing the bell. Seriously, I'd run to get the food, pick it up, and the second I left the window he'd ring it again. I had to keep going back, my arms were filled with plates and he kept ringing it!

I cried in "Nightmares" when Buffy's dad called her worthless, becuase I can sorta relate. (Not meaning to be a drama queen or anything. 🙂 )

this post makes me want to punch your mean parent.
I'm a gun owner and I'm really big on personal defense and being able to defend myself or loved ones if the need ever arose. But a recurring nightmare of mine is that I'm being attacked, and I draw my firearm, but the trigger pull is so heavy that I can't pull it, or that my gun fires but the bullets have no effect on the person attacking me, or that I draw and realize that my gun is a toy/fake gun. I've visited various gun forums and I've found that this is common dream among gun owners. I feel conifident in my training, but I think this dream is a subconsious fear that I don't have enough skill or training. I don't know but these are dreams I really don't like. I also have a recurring nightmare that I get shot and in my dream the pain is intense and so real. I wake up and the spot on my body that was shot in my dream is actually burning and tingiling. Very weird.

I don't really have recurring dreams, but constantly have nightmares and night terrors, my boyfriend has woken me up hundreds of times because I've been screaming/whimpering in my sleep, the most prominent ones that I remember is when I dreamt I was being buried alive, and once when I was being attacked by a shark, in a dream that resembled the film "Open Water".

It would without any doubt be about heights (I'm chicken when it comes to that 😛) our spiders. Not small ones but BIG ones. I love animals, but spiders.....😱

I am badly claustrophobic so most likely being trapped somewhere that I can't escape from.
