Back in the day, specifically the mid-1980's to mid-1990's, there was a subgenre of American Latino dance music known as "Freestyle". It relied mainly on electronic keyboards and very heavy base backbeats. It was a very unique sound that sadly did not endure, but it was damned funkay.
This young lady I'm currently blasting on my headphones came from the latter years of this musical phenomenon. Lizette Melendez be her name, with her hit single "A Day In My Life (Without You)"........
