What? Tormented (The second book) better? I was going put it on my holds list but then with how fast I was going get the book, I was like what? I can't be that number yet for the second book(At the library). So I just canceled it until I start reading the book because I still gotta finish Matched before next Thursday.
Sorry. I'm spoiler-y phobic. Haha. Hearing disappointment makes me wonder if I'll be disappointed or not as well. Or feel like the ending is too predictable and be disappointed because of that.
Yeah, that's what I've heard, that Tormented is a bit better than Fallen. But then again, I always expect the books that follow the first one in a series and so on to be a great deal better in furthering the plot along as well as character development, etc.
Suffice it to say, I think I would have done the same thing that you did. rotfl. I would have canceled mine until I was able to read the first book, then I would have put it on hold once I had finished or well once I had reached the third to the last chapter of the first book. Hee.
I understand being spoiler-y phobic, it's something that I grapple with myself - believe me. You've seen how frustrated I get when I'm accidentally or on purposefully spoiled. I'm very vocal about that, however, I still don't think saying I wish the ending of the book hadn't been too predictable is a spoiler, as it doesn't really tell exactly what happened even if it might make you wonder or worry or think of something. The chances are that you'll figure it out on your own BEFORE you read or finish reading the book is nil. It's just an opinion and it's mine, hun. Don't take it so seriously.
🙂
I won't ever out and out spoil for the fun of it.
I've recently fallen in love with The Vampire Diaries TV series, and was wondering if the books are worth reading.
Oh, I would definitely read them. I enjoyed them a great deal and they are a bit different from the show in some respects and you will get so much more of the bigger picture, than you will watching the show which is in progress at the moment. Not saying that one is better than the other, but the books is where the idea for the show came from and the books are what I completely fell in love with first.
Although, I will have to say that even if I found Stefan to be boring in the books, I find that his character on the show isn't quite as boring which is a fun little difference from them. But, in short, I say yes definitely read the books. They were wonderful, but take into account that they were written back in the 90's except for the newest one's and the newest one's certainly have a bit of a different feel for them, than the original one's that came before but never mind that - we'll save that discussion for later once you've read the first ones.
