What's better, Veronica Mars or Tru Calling?

This is probably the wrong place to post this for an impartial opinion considering the Tru Calling bias here, but I am curious to hear opinions.

There are similarities between Tru Calling and Veronica Mars:

* Both concern young woman solving mysteries.
* Both are good shows with ratings problems.
* Both depend largely on the charismatic presence of the lead, but with an interesting ensemble cast supporting.
* Both are old school mystery shows with twists.

Which one is the better show though?
 
Although they share some similarities there are differences, i.e no supernatural feel to it. No decision for me really, Veronica gets my vote.

Excellent writing and characters, and the fact that time is spent on working back stories for lesser characters is a plus. The storylines on Veronica have me more gripped than on Tru, and I like the fact that I still can't figure parts of the plot out. Which is something I could do on Tru, there was a certain amount of predictability.
 
Veronica all the way. Tru is nice but it gets kind of repititive(sp) after awhile, while Veronica is always solving a different mystery, things dont come out nice all the time, she dresses up, has a great personality, and its nice and dark.

and she doesnt have to run everywhere
 
Yeah, as hard as the decision was, I gotta go with Veronica. I love that show and it's always really well written/acted and the script always has an interesting twist. It never get boring.

Thats great! Surely the networks have to take note of that when renewal comes around.

Pyro: Sorry, but for me Veronica is the better show.
 
I think UPN will renew Veronica Mars for a second season, they would have to be stupid not to and they like to boasts about VM winning the E! online pole so to not renew it would just be stupid for them. And I think they know its a cult hit, not a big ratings generator but makes their station known atleast.
 
Veronica Mars, no contest. Kristen Bell is excellent and I love the supporting cast. The Lilly Kane mystery is intriguing and it's a very well done show. Tru Calling is okay, but it's kinda a B show.
 
I only currently have seen Tru. BUT we just got ads for Veronica Mars..I saw the WB advertising the finale I think and I think we are going to start getting the eppys here in Canada now so I will be watching and maybe can judge better then! But I love my Tru!
 
Hmm, that's a hard one. I've only seen a little bit of Veronica Mars, and more of Tru Calling, but I do like both of them!! Probably Tru Calling a little more, just because I've seen more episodes, and know the story plot, better then veronica Mars.
 
Was it the first one? Because I think that was the slower of the two eppys.
 
I gotta go with Tru Calling, just something about it. I love Veronica Mars also, i just always forget its on so i've only seen like 8 episodes.

Yeah it was, and i've seen some of the others and liked them. But for me Veronica is far superior.
 
I've only seen Tru Calling (and only four episodes of that show), so I don't feel qualified to vote.. But I'm thinking I should try to see some Veronica Mars episodes but.. I'm not allowed to, heh... (long story, eh)
 
Hmm...I like them both in different ways and for different reasons so I don't think I'd be able to pick between them. I feel Tru Calling got off to a shaky start but the eps from the 2nd season were really good. Veronica Mars was captivating right from the get-go.
