Here's one I don't think has been brought up before:

How did you decide on your pseudonym?

Here's my answer...The original "White Avenger" was the 1963 P-1800 Volvo that I owned back in the 80's. Then later, it became the name of my character in the one and only Dungeons & Dragons game that I ever played. It was also my pseudonym on the original Official Buffy The Vampire Slayer web site forum (though it somehow got mis entered as "Wwight Avenger."
 
i was writing a fanfic at the time i was joining this forum, and i 'created' a nickname for Spike to use for Illyria...Lyri. when i joined here, obviously, Illyria was taken, so i used the nickname i had 'created'. but a few months agao, i was watching the S5 ep 'Time Bomb' and during the ep, Lorne calls Illyria 'Lyri' so much for my fabulous creative skills, lol
it doesn't hurt that Lyri is actually a sort of shorted version of my real name. LY is the last two letters of my first name, and RI is the first two letters of my middle name.
i use Lyri now pretty much anywhere i go on the web...it really has become my alter ego! lmao
 
I think it's pretty obvious why I choose my name...mostly because I was having a mental block when I came up with it =P
 
My girlfriend calls me lexicat =]

although, she did shout at me coz I used it as a name on a forum and it was meant to be her own name for me
But I think she forgave me
I hope she did =S
 
I came up with VisionGuy to go with Cordy's VisionGirl since she is my favorite character. I use this same name on almost every forum now.
 
Well mine's a no brainer. I really fell in love with the episode. Makes me laugh just as hard everytime I see it. And if I couldn't be Buffy, then TR was it! 🙂
 
Willow is awesome. The evil Willow storyline is so cool. I loved it when her eyes go black, and Xander called her Black Eyed Girl, so I changed it to Guy (And dropped the 'ed')
 
on mine,i couldnt come up with anything or it was already taken so since willow is my favorite character and she did the whole wicca thing, and my names Ness, i just put it together and got Wiccaness

Whilst writing some fan fic I looked for info about Illyria. Having found where the land of Illyria was, I thought I'd use the name of the inhabitants but Illyrii didn't sound to good so I went with Illyrian, also I did like the character.
I ignored most of what I read on Wikipedia and chose to follow what was in an occult book I've got that was first written in 1553.
 
buffbuff... not too complicated...

i really loved the scene when buffy's training to do better than faith in her evaluation and will's floating the pencil, then she says "but aren't you just naturally buff Buff? hehe, buff-buff..." it's just SO cute, and one of my favorite lines.
 
Well, having gone through a few Buffy/Angel usernames on here when I was staff, such as Anya, Cordelia and Fred, when I stepped down I figured I would revert to a non-buffy name, my AOL screen-name at the time was Eevildustbunnies, so as I'm lazy like that I just decided to use my screen-name. People then abbreivated it to 'EDB' and so when a load of members got deleted & I had to rejoin, I just went with the abbreviated version instead - much quicker to type in as well 'lol'

Pretty boring, huh! 😀

No way, Your usernames so much cooler when it has a story.
I'm sure many people recognize Seven Of Nine as a character on Star Trek Voyager. Everything I tried that was Buffy-related was always taken so I went with a different show.

I recognised the name right off, of course, but I never mentioned it because of the open hostility some people here feel toward anything from the Star Trek universe. Glad you finally confessed on your own.
