Whats In A Title???

I was thinking today how Buffy's main character was clearly Buffy although the show REALLY has an ensemble cast.

Do you think that if the show had of been called something besides a characters name then Buffy as a character would of faded into the background to make more equal plaing ground???

I guess you could say that and it would make sense. Like if it were called 'Double Life' or 'Saving the World', I'm sure we would expect it to be about all the characters. But on the other coin, if it were called 'Willow the Witch' we'd automatically assume it were centered around Willow, and it probably would be.

So I agree, if it wasn't called 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' I'm sure Buffy would just be a random character. That sounds so weird though, thinking of her as a 'random' character. Of course, I'm happy with her being the main. 😀
